I like using batana oil once or twice a week as a deep treatment to help soothe my dry, itchy scalp and condition my hair. I leave it in for a couple of hours and then shampoo. In between treatments, I sometimes use just a tiny drop and rub it between my palms and apply it just to the ends of my hair. I have long, baby-fine hair and it is very dry and damaged near the ends and I like a rich oil that will nourish my hair but isn’t as heavy as argan or castor oils that I can’t easily wash it out with one or two shampoos.
This batana oil is housed in a heavy, dark-colored glass apothecary jar with a metal lid, which I like so much better than the light-weight plastic jars I so often get. The oil is solid at room temperatures and feels almost like a balm, but it is still summer where we live and quite hot, so right now it is a liquid and has the consistency of a fairly thick but not syrupy oil. It doesn’t have quite the same rich feel as some high quality batana oil which was actually bottled in Honduras that I was lucky enough to get a couple of years ago. While I don’t put any credence into the purported effects on hair growth, as far as nourishing my hair, that stuff is magic. This oil/balm also doesn’t have the earthy/chocolatey/coffee/smoky scent that I have come to expect from my favorite batana oils — I didn’t really care for it at first, but now I really like it.
This product is made in China. It does have a mild nutty fragrance that isn’t bothersome at all + the oil is quite nice. While this isn’t quite a five star product for me, it is definitely a step above some of the other batana oils that are supposed to be pure but are so obviously not the real thing or are unspecified blends instead.
This oil doesn’t weigh my hair down, and it is easy to wash out, leaving it smooth and soft with a nice shine. When I use it on my hair and scalp, I massage any extra into my hands, and it feels really nice. My hands are always dry and cracked and this is absorbed quickly into my skin and doesn’t feel greasy at all. My hands feel softer and more supple and my nails look so nice.
The price is reasonable, and the bottle arrived sealed and wrapped in plastic. The jar holds a generous amount and since a little goes a long way, it should last quite a while.

This Pure Batana Oil for Hair Growth is of a smooth semi-liquid consistency and us very easy to apply on the scalp and hail. It has a very faint smell that is not unpleasant at all, but I can’t fully describe it. I use it according to the instructions and it washed out very well with shampoo. It’s a bit too soon to tell if it will promote hair growth and thickness, but I will continue to use it and see what happens.

I was expecting a coffee like scent, there was no smell at all. I was expecting a thicker texture like chunky unrefined shea butter. This was more than melted, like softee hair grease. It was light, but was not the texture I expected. This packaging is very similar to what is being advertised on TikTok…but this is NOT the same product. And…lastly, it is manufactured in CHINA. I don’t want to give anymore money to China for my black hair care products.

This was shipped super fast. It is quite a small bottle, but little goes a long way. I will update later with results.

I recently started using the Unrefined Batana Oil for Hair Growth, and I am beyond thrilled with the results. Here’s why I’m giving it a five-star review:

    Pros:

100% Pure and Organic: This batana oil is truly pure and organic, sourced directly from Honduras. Knowing that it’s free from additives and chemicals gives me peace of mind about what I’m putting on my hair.
Effective for Hair Growth: Since incorporating this oil into my routine, I’ve noticed significant improvements in my hair’s thickness and overall health. My hair feels stronger, and I’ve observed new growth in areas where I had thinning hair.
Deeply Nourishing: The oil is incredibly moisturizing and nourishing. It penetrates deeply into the hair and scalp, providing essential nutrients and hydration. My hair feels softer and more manageable with each use.
Versatile Application: I use this oil both as a leave-in treatment and as a pre-shampoo conditioning treatment. It works wonderfully in both applications, and the results are consistently impressive.
High-Quality Packaging: The packaging is practical and easy to use. The dropper allows for precise application, minimizing waste and making it simple to apply directly to the scalp or hair.
    Cons:

Slightly Strong Scent: The oil has a natural, earthy scent that may take a little getting used to. However, the benefits far outweigh this minor consideration.
Overall: The Unrefined Batana Oil for Hair Growth is a fantastic investment for anyone looking to improve their hair’s health and encourage growth. The 100% pure and organic formula, combined with its nourishing properties, makes it a standout product. If you’re seeking an effective and natural solution for hair growth, this batana oil is highly recommended!
