I want to start off by saying I am in NO way getting paid or receiving any bribes for this review.

I started hair thinning in my mid-twenties. So, I tried Monat. Monat was okay but it didn’t leave my hair feeling soft and it was hard to brush through after showering. Plus, the price tag is outrageous. You have to pay for a membership THEN pay for the products at what they call a “discounted price” of a whopping $40 per bottle of shampoo and conditioner. Let’s face it, I’m poor. So I stopped.

I switched to a natural WalMart brand. A little easier on the wallet. But after 3 months of use my husband told me my hair stunk (which it did even after using the product) and I developed dandruff.

I then saw an ad for Prose. I thought eh, why not? I would regret that decision.

Prose is supposed to be customized to your area you live, the water hardness, and your hair type. Well about the first week of using it, it was great. But then I started noticing some startling stuff. After I showered (shoot even after I shampooed) my hair was coming out in clumps! My brush would fill up after one brushing. I had a trail of hair from the bathroom to the bedroom on the floor. I was cleaning out my shower drain every month to two months (NOT NORMAL!) My hair became brittle and dry. It was rough to the touch. Not to mention I was paying $60 for two tiny bottles of this stuff every month.

I knew it was time for a change when I noticed thousands of tiny hairs sticking straight up from my head. And my scalp was SO itchy.

So, I researched and researched and this stuff didn’t have too terrible of reviews so I thought at this point, anything is better than Prose.

I’m so glad I chose this stuff. First time I used it, I felt the product working. And when I say “working” it was nourishing my scalp and my hair. I allowed the shampoo and conditioner time to set in my hair as the directions state. The smell was a little strong at first, but honestly I love it. I suffer from allergies all year and it helps me breathe a little. Plus, when my hair gets a little wet, I can smell the minty freshness, so I know it stays in my hair.

I’ve been using it a week now and here’s what I’ve noticed. While showering, I no longer lose hair! When I brush, there are only a few strands in my brush. My hair is SO silky, soft, and it’s the shiniest it’s ever been! My tiny little hairs have actually grown out and are laying flat with the rest of my hair. My hair doesn’t get oily if I skip a couple washes (let’s face it, life happens). If I have it up in a hair tie, I can let it loose and within several minutes it lays out straight. I don’t have the tell tale buldge of a pony tail. My scalp is no longer itchy. It’s easier to manage. I am a simple girl. I don’t use heat tools but maybe once or twice a year. I just wash and let air dry or style while wet or when it’s dry the next day. This stuff has brought my hair back to life and doesn’t have me freaking out about losing all my hair. Granted, I have been using it for just a week but I am already seeing massive progress with this product over the other brands. Plus, the price tag is WAAAAY more manageable especially with all this inflation crap. My bottles came secured with tamper seals and they both had no leaks. I WILL be ordering more in the future.

Additionally, I noticed it says this product is lice repellent! That’s a huge plus for me, considering my line of work and I go into the nastiest of the nasty houses at times. Bugs terrify me. I’ve never had lice and I never want to, so this was also a HUGE plus for me. I do notice bugs (flying ones) stay away from my hair/head. 👍

I wish I had a before and after photo for you but honestly, I didn’t think this stuff would work this great!

I am a 52 year old post menopausal woman with color treated, dry, and coarse hair. I also struggle with a flaky scalp, contact detmatitis/ seborrheic dandruff. I routinely use a dandruff shampoo (Nizoral), I change up conditioners. I think my scalp had a lot of product build up which was difficulty deal with. Nothing worked…on a particularly bad day my scalp shed multiple flakes, itched like crazy.
Until I tried this product! I also used my own rosemary and mint essential oil on my scalp. My hair feels softer, but not slick with silicone or a waxy, just clean refreshed and shiny. No flakes, scalp feels like the irritation has subside.
This is the second hair wash. So far, the best shampoo/conditioner I have used in a long while. I hope it continues to perform well in the long term.

Is the best shampoo conditioner, hands-down. I have a lot of dandruff and someone recommended for me to try tea tree. Found this shampoo and conditioner and exceeded my expectations. Not only did I not have any dandruff, but my hair was so soft and shiny afterwards too.

Alright I just received this item and I was super excited to try it. I have been dealing with a bit of postpartum hair loss since last year. Now that Its been 1.5 years i have noticed the areas I was dealing with are not as full as it once was.

Mainly the front part of the hair (hair line area)
I have tried lots of repairing shampoo and volume shampoo and it hasn’t really helped as much. So I decided to give this shampoo a try.

My first impression is that it smells very good.
Now while in the shower applying it as directed and softly massaging my scalp with my finger tips I didn’t get that tingle sensation that most reviews have talked about.

Both shampoo & conditioner didn’t tingle my scalp (Maybe I need to apply more pressure to the massage? Trying to be gentle)

Also noticed that some of my hair was coming out.. I am assuming this is the shedding process? I had this issue another time a few years ago using a charcoal shampoo (different brand) my hair shedded every time I used the product but it became less and less.
So maybe that’s how this product works as well?

NO scalp reaction as far as getting red or having any allergic reaction to it.

I will keep using it for the next few days to a month and see if it keeps causing the issue or it becomes less. I also read that if you are allergic to tea tree oil it will cause the hair to fall it rather then helping it grow. Just a thought.

After the shower I ended up putting in a leave in conditioner and used a frizz spray to help with all the little hairs. Since my hair was a bit frizzy once it was drying.

Overall I gave this product 3 stars I may come back and give it 5 stars if it does what it’s suppose to and hopefully my hair won’t shed as much using this product.

I bought this shampoo cause I needed something to help my dandruff. I’ve tried the medicated foam, head and shoulders, even that nasty smelling tar shampoo. Nothing has worked. Recently my dandruff has gotten worse over the past couple months and I’ve been scratching constantly. This shampoo and conditioner works. It has a nice mint smell and it brings that nice slight tingly feeling to your scalp for a lil bit. It really helps with my dandruff problem and I don’t look like I have lice from scratching my head so much.

  6. Amazon Customer

This product reduced almost all my dry scalp flakes and has made my hair softer. I do notice less hair loss in the shower too. I’ve been using for 3 weeks now.

  7. Victoria Bucher

I became allergic to the major high quality shampoo that I have used for years. These products contain no sulfate or paraben. Since using this product my hair is not falling out and seeing new hair growing where my hair had become thin. I have very fine hair. It leaves my hair silky. It flies around easily and unable to find an allergy free air spray to hold my hair in place.
