The reason for the 3 stars is because of the continuous packaging issues. If the top falls off it’s almost impossible to continue using it.. which is a waste of money for a $20 product.
I bought two of these moose’s and one came damaged already. I had to keep most of the stars because this is one of my favorite products. Below I will list pros and cons.
Pros. Joico moose is my absolute favorite paired with a leave in conditioner or just by itself. This is the product for you if you like your curly hair to last 1-3 days without washing. You just spray with a little water to reactivate the moose and add more volume.
Cons, once the top breaks off it is basically un-useable. The top breaks off very easily so I recommend not losing the clear plastic since it can act as a protector. Additionally, the product can be sticky and can make it hard to brush your hair. Add this after brushing and detanging and apply while scrunching. This product can make your hair hard/crispy. My fix for this is flipping your head upside down and shaking your hair. Not only does this create additional volume but it also makes your hair soft and bouncy. For next day curls spritz some water to reactivate and shake your curls out to prevent the crispy curls.

I use the full size in this product and was happy to see it in the travel size as it’s way more convenient to pack. It’s a bit pricy for the size but worth it instead of packing a full size can.

I loved the Joico Power Whip in the all grey container. It was the best mousse around. I didn’t have to use much and it held my hair in place. This new formula (in the grey and green container) feels like a cheap drug store brand. It’s not as stiff and for styling purposes, there are other types of products that do a better job. I will not be purchasing this again.

If you have fine, limp hair, this is a great product. I’ve been purchasing it from my hairdresser for a couple years. Twice, I’ve had cans with broken, cracked nozzles, can’t use the product. Bought another can a few weeks ago, same thing. As my hairdresser is in vacation, I ordered a can from Amazon. Cracked, broken nozzle. I was given a refund. My hairdresser has always replaced the broken ones too. Great product but be careful!

First time I used this I used too much and ended up with sticky hair. I was expecting it to be more of the consistency of shaving cream, but it is more of a thin watery foam. Holds well and provides volume but no softness.
