This stuff is pretty good. Really happy to have found an affordable definition moisturizer for my wash n go 4a curls. It reduces most of my frizz and the definition holds for about a week. I have reapplied some as a daily touch up and have been pleased with no flaking or stiff build up. My hair stays soft. It doesn’t add a lot of shine and with hold/definition that is a tad more than moderate, the product is just fine for my typical everyday wear. Very nice scent and slip, too.

I was planning to purchase a certain social media celebrity’s new hair (recipe) cream but decided to try TGIN b/c it was much better priced and I already knew that I liked the leave-in conditioner. I am so happy that I did. This butter cream is a game changer! My hair is loving it. I have lots of cohabitating textures and the 4C areas have been extra dry and noncompliant. My hair is damaged and badly in need of a trim and TLC. My twist outs have been looking like twist NOT (as in not today). I could not figure out the problem until I tried this butter. My hair was incredibly thirsty.
Let me tell you about this lucious and creamy product. My hair is moisturized, shiny, and more manageable. It’s stronger and my styles are lasting longer. OH and it smells amazing.

Pardon the image being blurry but the ingredients list differs from what is listed on the product page on Amazon, so I am hoping this helps someone.
I appreciate that I liked this product despite my prior experience with it and apprehension about the actual ingredients list. A good friend of mine swears by this stuff. I was reluctant to use it because I didn’t like that the ingredients incorporated cones or propylene glycol nor could I shake the “sore” feelings I had about using this product that had developed over the years because of the first jar.
But, I summoned a little openness and there’s been nothing but blue skies since.
In using it I recalled that my main issue the very first time around was that the product didn’t play well with other products. It made everything bead up and made a mess in my hair. This time I used it with nothing but a light leave-in. If you’re interested the leave-in was Kinky Curly’s Knot today. You don’t need anything else with it. It has a bit of hold and it’s moisture rich. Because of that, you don’t need to use a gel or something with significant hold. I used it to do a braid out. It was very defined and still soft to the touch. I know that’s something some people struggle to find.
Though I am used to a moderately full head of medium to long hair, healthwise, my hair is not in the best shape I’ve seen it in right now. After using this as my only styler and moisturizer on wash day, it’s definitely feeling much better to the touch. Leaps and bounds better. Soft and supple but not weighed down, greasy, or sticky.
My hair honestly feels amazing and this is coming from someone well aware that my hair is not technically at its best. This couldn’t have come at a better time. I was starting to feel lost about what to do.
My family was about to be surprised by a big chop. My hair isn’t that bad off. I just don’t have patience for damaged ends and dryness.

This TGIN butter cream is AMAZING for my low porosity hair! Lately, my hair has gone through another transition and it’s super dry (I would say extremely thirsty and brittle). No matter what I’ve done to add extra moisture lately, nothing seemed to work. I even slept with a conditioning cap to help lock in the moisture at night.
I came across this butter cream on Amazon and took a look at the reviews. I saw someone post that they used this for their low-po hair, so I decided to give it a try (I also purchased the conditioning shampoo, conditioner, and leave-in conditioner as a “set” to see how my hair reacts to new products. I figured my hair was tired from my old routine and products).
Before I took a shower, I added this cream to my bone-dry hair. I massaged it in and spread it from roots to the ends. I did not pre-wash my hair, so the other products I used were still in my hair somewhere. The point is that I didn’t use the butter cream on freshly washed hair, and I used it “on top” of other products. Admittedly, my hair felt a little sticky at first, but I think it was due to the other products in my hair.
After the butter cream melted into my curls, I immediately saw a difference! My hair is short on the sides and I noticed that the cream was thick enough to “slick” down the edges and baby curls, but it wasn’t heavy. My hair had a glow to it, like it was restored to a healthy shine instead of a dead, dry look. I showered without a cap, to let the steam settle in and to get my hair slightly damp. That is exactly what my hair needed to get my curls bouncing again! After dampening my hair, the stickiness I felt before faded and my curls softened. I am super excited about this product. Here is what I like about the butter cream so far:
– The branding is a aesthetically pleasing. I like the colors.
– The size is a good trade off for the price. I felt that I got a great value for the money I paid.
– It’s rich, thick, and creamy, so I didn’t need to use a lot of product to get results.
– The scent is delicious. It has a light, fruity smell but it’s not overwhelming. It’s very pleasant.
– It works for my low-porosity hair.
