I got this because I didn’t realize that the clipper set I ordered was an entire haircut kit with the cape included, but I still needed the neck duster brush, so I kept it. The cape is basic, perfect for haircuts, but it is NOT the right fabric/material for chemical processing or shampooing. The dual hook neck adjustment/closure is a huge improvement over my old name brand chemical/haircut cape from a big beauty supply chain that used snaps. Allows this to fit my 9 year old who is too big for the kids cape I ordered, but was too small for the snap closure on my old chemical/haircut cape. The neck duster is as basic quality as you get, not quite as dense as I had expected, and there was a bit of hot glue on some outer bristles, but I was able to remove it without damage, so it still worked to dust off the hair bits from shaving my better half’s head. The other brush I’m unsure as to whether it’s supposed to be a hairbrush or a hairbrush cleaner, but the bristles were deformed from the way it was packaged, so I’m just going to use it to scrub my hairbrushes when they need real washing with soap. For the price, just the cape and the neck duster alone this is a heck of a good value!

for the price, absolutely a must have for anyone that has been designated as the family unpaid barber, hair trimmer, stylist! My gosh does this help so much in keeping the hair ends from getting all over the non paying patrons clothing or bare skin, and the neck brush also works wonders and finally, for the final touch for the relaxation of your nonpaying client, the duster brush is so soft and relaxing.

I got this for me to use on my BIL’s haircuts at his house. The cape isn’t as heavy and I don’t like the closure as well as the Velcro closure cape I use on my husband at home, but my BIL has a decently big neck and it still works for him, so it’s good enough for me. The cape is also a bit thin and I wouldn’t trust it to be fully waterproof, but I don’t need it to be— the BIL has sparse hair so mostly it’s just a quick clipper with a guard thing. It’s good enough to keep the clippings off his clothes, and the brush is great for neck dusting. For $5.99 this is a no brainer. I’m keeping it in a bag with my clippers, so when it’s time to cut his hair I have one bag to grab and I’m ready to go. It folds up small because of the weight, so I suppose that’s the trade off. A heavier one wouldn’t fold so small. For the current $5.99 price, the set is a good deal. It’s not fancy but it gets the job done.

I don’t care for the elastic neck with this clasp it ends up shifting up and leaving a mark in my clients neck. The brush doesn’t have enough bristles and stiffnesses, so it doesn’t work as well as the competition’s. I’d rather spend more money and get something that works.
