I’m new to Batana so I wasn’t sure what to expect. This brand seems solid judging by the packaging and design. I have fine but dry hair, so I plan to use this mostly as a post-dryer moisturizer. I can’t see oiling my head with the greenish-yellow oil and then sleeping (as directed) on a white pillowcase. Maybe others keep their hair wrapped in a towel all night. The other striking thing about this oil is the smell. It’s a bit like coffee, so I imagine that’s a deal breaker for some. I find it okay but not really pleasant (I’m very sensitive to scents). The oil is pretty lightweight, so I think it will serve fine to help my hair’s dry ends or my cuticles. Time will tell.

I’ve tried the batana in the cream form and now this oil. I MUCH prefer the oil, it took forever to get the cream out of my hair even though I applied it lightly. The oil was much easier to work into the hair and to get back out. I use it like the vo5 hot oil treatments. It works as well and smells much better.
I think this is overpriced, but that may be inflation.

This natural batana oil is great for promoting hair thickness and scalp health. The 4.2oz bottle comes with two caps for easy application. It has a strong nutty coffee smell. I’m not a fan of that so I only use it before washing my hair. My mom doesn’t mind the smell and has been using it consistently for a few months and has noticed hair growth. Overall, it’s great for hair and scalp care.

I don’t think that this has a very strong Batana oil smell to it like some other brands I have got in the past. It also seems to be less thick than the other ones I have tried before. It’s very yellow in color too, and I don’t know if that’s a good thing or not as some other ones I have had before had a tint of yellow, but not this much.
The clear cap had some oil on the outer rim too when I got this out of the box. I don’t know why it was used before I received it.
Also, real raw batana oil is brown and thick and has a nutty or coffee aroma to it. This is extremely thin and liquid like, and very yellow. So I’m unsure about what else they used in this.
