Still my favourite gel I’ve ever used – really nice, smooth consistency that adds great hold and definition to my curls. Easy to scrunch out, leaving hair soft and shiny with no sticky residue or feeling of buildup. Usually I can just re-activate it with a little water each day to refresh my hair.

If you want a strong hold gel, this is a good one. In addition, it’s very liquid.

Absolutely love this product!!! I have been using it for about 25 years & the only problem is that they stopped making it in a larger size. It controls fizz beautifully & helps keep the curl in. I use it every night after I wash my hair , I always go to bed with my hair wet & this way I don’t have to do much to it in the morning , just pull it back in clips. I have tried sooooo many different products & nothing works as well as this!

This Product has really firm hold – so I always just mix a bit of it in with my other AG brand gel – usually recoil. Every time I try new products, I regret it and always end up going back to AG for my 2a wavy/curly hair. This is new packaging though, and doesn’t dispense as well as the old packaging.

I have naturally curly 3a/3b curl that has a tendency to be dry & frizzy. I have used many products over the years. This is now my favorite. The gel is lightweight and defines my curls beautifully. It does not make my hair stiff. I can wash it, use the gel, and after 3 days it still looks good. I highly recommend it.

I’ve been using this product on my 3B curly hair for ~10 years, which is long enough for me to occasionally forget that this is the HOLY GRAIL. Sometimes I try to branch out for a cheaper option … it’s always a disaster. I truly cannot recommend this enough. It leaves my hair defined and totally frizz free (as long as I’m careful to avoid the worst of the humidity where I live) when on its own it would be a frizzy disaster.
1 bottle lasts me 1.5-2 months. I recommend not using too much – it’s not needed. It is often the only thing I use in my hair. If the hair is not manipulated, it dries with a shiny gel cast which is incredibly easy to scrunch out, and leaves your hair looking completely natural with almost no residue!
I’ve never uploaded a photo to a review before, much less a photo of myself, but it felt necessary to show how awesome this stuff is!

If you have coarse/dry wavy/curly hair this is a must try! The product is more like a thin gel- not a lotion. I only used it one time and my hair feels and looks amazing! I have been thinking about buying this for some time and my only regret is not trying it sooner. My hair is on the 2b/2c side, coarser and I bleach regularly (thanks to my genetics of gray hair). This product is thin and it has so much slip it just covers your hair without being thick and sticky. I have tried literally almost everything out there and this by far has taken the number one spot. Treluxe, Curlsmith, Inahsi, Mixed Chicks…Harry’s, LUS, Curl Talk, Miss Jessies, Carol’s Daughter, Ouidad, Jessicurl, Cantu, Mielle, Shea Moisture, all the drug store/walmart brands.. the list goes on-SO MUCH $$$. I am also part of Curls Monthly and have tried almost every product I’ve received over the past 8 months. I didn’t take a pic today but man I should have. It has a very light scent and I am sensitive to smells and my skin is very sensitive and this does not bother me @ all. If you are in the fence TRY it. Will update regarding longevity and include pics. Holy Grail contender definitely 😍

This gel smells amazing and has beautiful slip. But I found that it weighed down my hair and made it crunchy. Even after I scrunched out the crunch it still looked heavy. It’s a nice product but probably just not for my fine, curly hair.

I love this product! I use it with other Ag curl products and it works amazing. It’s the best my hair has ever looked. After styling it is soft and has way less frizz and perfect hold.
