This product didn’t work well for me, but your experience may be different. My hair is wavy and high porosity. When I spray this on dry hair, it acts more like a texturizing product or a hairspray. My hair seemed to dry out more and was not moisturized. It did not give me defined curls, it just got frizzy all over. If I use plain water on dry hair, I can usually coax some waves or loose curls back into it. This made my hair feel awful. Maybe a different hair texture would benefit from this.
