I took my hair from medium brown with this frosting. For the most part it did a great job. I was left with parts that were a little orange which is to be expected from taking it from medium brown. I then used Loreal light ash brown after the highlights with a gorgeous color result. It covered the orange and left me with a great color and highlights.

I was a little nervous as I had recently dyed my hair and attempted highlights and the results were not great (orangey red, etc). FYI I have dark ash blond hair, very fine texture.
I did the cap – once you get the hang of it, it’s easy. Just insert the hook through hole in upward direction with hook facing out. Start on top and go down is best to avoid rebooking hair already pulled through. In the back I just did my best guess and used a mirror to see where I had blank spots.
Then I left it on for 20 minutes. Admittedly
I got a bit freaked out and rushed to wash it out – but honestly it could have stayed on another 5 perhaps. But even then – the color isn’t orange and brassy. Im still going to do a blue toning gloss in a day or so, but I think if I left them on a bit longer it would have been fine. Hair feels soft and not damaged (I did do an Olaplex treatment prior – definitely a must when highlighting hair). Overall very pleased!!

The smell is a little strong but I like that it’s easy to use. It comes with toner so your hair isn’t brassy after the bleach. The deep conditioner is good, comes with everything that you need for a good price.
