This shampoo is just what I was looking for. Popped the top and my eyes began watering from the strong coal tar smell. This stuff is the real coal tar shampoo and not watered down like other ones can be. Requires just the tiniest dab to work up lots of lather to cover the entire scalp. The only problem is that the top doesn’t open all the way. The shampoo just barely squeezes out on either end of the opening because the center is blocked off. I guess a knife might open it up some if one wanted to do that. I left it as is because the tiny bit that does squeeze out of either end is enough to wash with.

scent is not a nice smell at all. I found that it didn’t really work for my hair and that a Walmart generic brand did wonders better then this couldve

My doctor recommended this because I have dandruff and I’m constantly having to switch between sell some and head and shoulders and prescription stuff. This has been working exceptionally for multiple months now. I do think I’m going to have to switch here in the next couple of weeks, but this is the longest I’ve been able to use one product.

I’ve struggled with dandruff for quite some time. It seemed like no matter what I did I couldn’t get rid of it. I used this the day I got it, and had almost no dandruff the next day. It left my scalp feeling smooth.
It does have a noticeable scent to it, which isn’t very pleasant. But given that it did exactly what I needed it to do, I’m willing to totally overlook that. Given that it did what a number of other products claimed — and failed — to do.

This is the generic version of the neutrogena TGel that was discontinued. This is the only shampoo that actually controls dandruff and itching. I have used every other shampoo on the market and nothing else works. I just wish it removed some of the ingredients like DMDM (formaldehyde) that are possible carcinogens/endocrine disrupters. I don’t mind the smell and the price is good compared to other coal tar products

Every Fall, my scalp sets itself on fire in a hail of great flakiness. This is the absolute best product to treat it. Smells weird if you haven’t used before, but you’ll get used to it. Honestly, who has their face buried in your hair anyway? Great suds and unparalleled relief from itching, flaking. Wear all your shirts again, even the black ones!

I recently tried this shampoo, and I have to say, it’s one of the worst products I’ve ever used. The smell is absolutely horrendous. It’s like they bottled up a bunch of bad chemicals. I can’t even describe the odor properly; it’s a nauseating mix of industrial waste and medicine.
Aside from the awful smell, the shampoo did nothing for my hair. In fact, it left my hair feeling even drier and more damaged than before. To make matters worse, the packaging is flimsy and the bottle is prone to leaking. I had to endure the stench during my shower and AFTER my shower that my family was asking if I fell into sewers…
I wouldn’t recommend this shampoo . It’s a complete waste of money, and I regret ever trying it!

We’ve used a different brand for a while, but decided to go cheaper. This product is 1/4 the price of top brands, and it works just as well for my teens’ dandruff! Also, it doesn’t have as strong a scent as the others we’ve used. Will start repurchasing instead. It’s got all of the same active ingredients anyway. There’s no reason to pay quadruple.
