Usually during the winter, I get dry scalp from the cold weather in my area. This year however, was the worst it’s ever been, and for some reason, my dry scalp persisted even as the weather got a lot warmer. In addition, my scalp was super itchy this year, which had never happened before. I tried so many shampoos, anything from neutrogena t-sal, head and shoulders, a garnier fructis tea tree shampoo, aveda balancing scalp shampoo, exederm, apple cider vinegar rinse, etc. and none of these products worked, or only fixed one of the problems (aka relieved the flakes but did nothing for my itchy scalp, and vice versa). My scalp was itchy, flaky, red and irritated from my scratching despite the warm and humid climate I was in. Sometimes it made it hard for me to fall asleep because it was so itchy. I decided to try this product since I saw it was targeted specifically towards dry and itchy scalp. I washed my hair with it for the first time and saw immediate results. It doesn’t say to shampoo twice, but I did the first time because after my first lather, my scalp still felt a little itchy and I didn’t get a very strong tingly sensation from the tea tree oil. After my second lather, the menthol and tea tree oil immediately soothed all my itches and I got that strong tingly sensation that I love about tea tree oil. I let it sit in my hair for a couple minutes before rinsing out with cold water. And after I let my hair air dry, I found that my scalp was not itchy AT ALL and the dryness/flakiness drastically improved (not completely resolved though, but I’m sure as I continue to use it it will get better). My hair also felt lighter and softer, which is great considering all the other shampoos I have been trying have dried out my hair. I also love the herbal scent of this shampoo, a drastic improvement from my apple cider vinegar rinse leftover smell. Although I only used this one time, I was too excited about the results to not write a review immediately, since I finally found a shampoo that soothes my dry scalp. I’d definitely say to give this shampoo a try if you’re hesitant, and its relatively cheap compared to all the other expensive shampoos that claim to resolve scalp problems.

This conditioner is fantastic. It makes my hair so soft. That is saying a lot. I have very dry, dehydrated hair that breaks off and is frizzy from being dry. After using this, I was amazed…my hair was smooth, moisturized, and smelled beautiful. My scalp felt relieved, also. I normally have an itchy, irritated scalp, but not after using this. My scalp felt great and my hair looked great-what more could anyone want?

Firstly, my dry scalp is from a recent illness and overload of antibiotics, which means I can only advise how lovely this product has been for me. The products smell devine (clean and fresh) and the lather is very good…you can feel it wòrking through to your roots. The biggest effect though is that my scalp feels soft and smooth after use. This is my second purchase of these products and I will continue to order themeven when my scalp is back to normal.

I suffered from a chronic dry & itchy scalp for years-no more very thankfully. Eventually, a combination of Nizoral shampoo used several times followed by regularly using this shampoo, plus the Yes to Naturals conditioner, provided very welcome relief. I also noticed that my dry scalp always improved somewhat whenever I was on holiday somewhere with soft water (ie Lake District). As I have exceedingly hard water where I live I now also use spring water for the final rise. As a bonus, both the shampoo and conditioner have a lovely creamy texture & pleasant smell. Worth every penny!

The shampoo seems to clean well, and I like the fact that it has almost no smell. What I don’t like is my scalp is still very itchy and I have a lot more static in my hair than normal. I’ll use it for a while longer to see if the Itchiness is relieved and if so, I’ll buy the conditioner to go with it in hopes that addresses the static electricity in my hair.
UPDATE- after using daily for a week, I will not be using this shampoo any longer. No relief from itching and my hair has crazy amount of static.
