I am 56, white with fine, color treated, post menopause frizzy hair. Way before menopause I could use a weekly hot oil V05 treatment and let my hair airdry. Finally, found something that comes close to that. I wash my hair every other day, leaving the conditioner in and another little squirt on the ends after towel drying and my hair is very soft with very little frizz at the crown when it airdries.
My 3rd wash I have to use a clarifying shampoo and start over to avoid oil buildup.
I have been using this for a few weeks and am very happy with both. It’s wonderful to have soft hair again.
I gave it 3 stars for scent because I smell hairspray when it dries. Recently had COVID, so I don’t know if that has something to do with it.

After using it cannot say I’m impressed at all!
Extremely difficult to comb out hair afterwards!

I’ve been using Shea Moisture Jamaican Black shampoo & conditioner in conjunction with Shea Moisture’s leave in conditioner for a few months now. I have long, thin hair that tends to fall out a lot when I wash it due to PCOS.
I used L’Oréal’s non sulfate S & C before I started using this. L’Oréal was cheaper, but it still contained a lot of unhealthy chemicals.
After using Shea Moisture I noticed about a 40% decrease in hair loss which is awesome. It doesn’t smell like peppermint which is also nice. It smells more like the glaze of a maple doughnut. I usually have dandruff that I have to treat with Denorex at least once every few weeks, but this Shea Moisture Shampoo seems to fight dandruff as I haven’t had to treat it in over a month. Also, it’s been keeping my hair clean enough to only wash it once or twice a week. If you wash your hair more often than that, then stop because that’s so bad for your hair.
The only negative thing I can think of is how small the Shampoo & Conditioner bottles are. For the price, I expected them to be double the size they actually are. The leave in conditioner on the other hand is quite cheap for the enormous amount you get so I was surprised at how little you get with the S & C. Remember though, quality over quantity.
Over all, I recommend trying these if you want a healthier option for your hair. If I ever find something better, I’ll update you guys.

The shampoo is pretty watery and I’m not sure if it’s supposed to look the way it does and not blended better (see pic) and since I have really thick hair, both the conditioner and shampoo has a hard time really soaking into my hair but I think I’m seeing improvement to the dryness? Just a little anyways, the product does smell nice so I’ll at least finish it up before trying something else for my bleach damaged hair. It’s a good product, but maybe just not for my type of hair.
