I was nervous about trying this. I love the idea of using less plastic in the home, so in theory liked the idea, but my hair is so thick, I was skeptical how well a bar would actually clean my hair. I was shocked at how much shampoo this actually gave me in my hair. Incredible lather – better than my current liquid shampoo. This does leave your hair feeling like after you use a clarifying shampoo (which I kind of like, because I use a conditioner afterwards anyway). So if you already have drier hair, you’ll probably definitely need some conditioner afterwards, but I think this is perfect. (I wasn’t nervous about the body wash function of the product since I’ve used bar soap before). So I love that this product is multifunctional – good as your shampoo and body wash.

My 9yo is a redhead with very sensitive skin and eyes and we have tried so many products to help reduce irritation. This one worked well for him and made his hair extremely soft. He loes using the “bar” instead of liquid because it helps keep shampoo on his head and not in eyes. Very lightly scented and lasts a long time!

Happy to report that it did not cause a rash. I have eczema and a lot of allergies – ‘sensitive skin’. I had been using Vanicream Free & Clear shampoo, but it was drying out my hair. Kitsch lathered up nicely and made my hair soft and shiny. I’m not sure one round of washing would have been enough to get my hair clean when I was young and had greasy hair, though.

This product is perfect if you are going to a very gentle cleanse or have a normal scalp that doesn’t require a deep cleanse. As for the body cleansing aspect it’s very moisturizing and doesn’t leave a squeaky feeling at all. It did however have a weird scent to it like..a fishy scent but once I rinsed it off a bit it went away. Aside from that scent it doesn’t even smell like chemicals. I loved it but it is a bit too moisturizing for me that I would need to follow up with a deep cleanse every week maybe.
UPDATE:
I kept using it, after 6 or 7 washes my hair started to feel dried out and it dried out my ends pretty bad. I had just gotten a hair cut and this made my ends super dry and I had to get a trim sooner than the 2 months which is what I normally do is trim my hair every 2 months. Idk maybe it’s cause I have thick wavy hair that leans on the frizzy side but yeah it definitely dried my hair out after continuous use.

Another one of those products that social media makes out to be better than it actually is. It’s small and cost loads. My hair didn’t improve. I actually got an itchy scalp from this. The product builds up and made my hair look greasy. My experience with it after giving it an honest try for two weeks.
