I’ve been using this product for years. I wish they would make it easier. I don’t like waste, and one packet has enough developer or dye to do my eyebrows at least four times. That would make it very economical. But there is no way to close up the little packets and save the remaining solutions for later. So after I dye my eyebrows, I have to throw the leftovers out. It does last a long time…for me about 5 weeks. I only leave it on about half the suggested time per the instructions. Otherwise they are waaaay too dark and stain more skin than hair. I have my system down, but it took trail and error. Don’t leave it on too long. You can always repeat the process. You’ll have plenty left over to do so.

My eye brows are thin and sparse. I wanted something on the affordable side for the days I don’t do my makeup. This is right after. I did a touch up after the first application but this stuff really works. I’m OKAY with the way it turned out, that’s just me, it takes me some time to get used to things. But so far it did what it’s suppose to do. Last picture is with makeup done and they look very natural. I’d recommend for sure!

This is my third box of Godefroy brow tint. I have blonde hair. But I get the Light Brown tint. With two boxes-worth of practice under my belt (and the tinting came out well each time; it’s easy) I’ve gotten really good at it. This time, I also bought disposable mascara wand spoolies (crystal pink!) to try. And guess what, it worked very well. The spoolies pick up more of the product (just be careful it doesn’t glop into your eye) so I could saturate my brows with the color and then the fixative, just like professionals do. Simply follow the product instructions. My color came out exactly as I wanted it to. The whole thing took 10 minutes in the comfort of my home for the price of a professional tip. Yes, the color lasts the whole month and more (I guess depending on what you use to wash your face. Acne solutions would probably make the color go away faster).

I have been using a different eyebrow dying product from the same company: “Godefroy TintKit” on my eyebrows for at least 15 years. It works fantastically. I thought this would be a good option to be able to take with my on work trips because they were pre mixed sealed applications. Big mistake. Unfortunately, this product from them: Instant Eyebrow Color is a complete waste of money and your valuable time. It takes the same amount of time to assemble (actually, it’s kind of a pain in the ass and messy, and it doesn’t work). I thought ”Great, this will save me some time and space in my suitcase”. Not only was it more expensive than the original product (you get less applications) but it did not make my eyebrows any darker( it almost feels like it made them redder) and did not even dye the super fine blond facial hair on my brows that are under your main eyebrows. I did it twice just to make sure, and it still had no effect. Maybe it will add a tiny bit of “reddish brown” color on your skin underneath your eyebrows(barely), but it does not take on your eyebrow hair. Yes, I followed the directions correctly and read the useless troubleshooting guide. I ended up following those two useless applications with one from my tried and true Godefroy Tint Kit and that as always, worked like a charm. So it took me 3 times as long as usual to tint my eyebrows this time and I wasted $14. Stick with the original.

Update: I just don’t have the results I used to have with this eyebrow color. I follow the instructions, take my time, and still the results are patchy. As well, it doesn’t last at all. One box even came with only two applications – one missing – was it a return? I’m giving up on this eyebrow color. Just not doing it for me any longer.

This is so much better than the powder capsules I used to use. I did not like having to mix the powder and my results weren’t as good, and as well, didn’t last as long.
Put petroleum jelly on the areas above and below your eyebrows — I did this but the little applicator they provided gave me such a precise application that I didn’t have any worries about staining where I didn’t want the color to stain–I took my time and was careful and I suggest you do that too; do this when you have a little time to color your eyebrows and aren’t in a hurry, though it doesn’t take very long all total.
You apply the eyebrow color cream first, let it sit 2 minutes, blot excess ‘dry,’ and then apply the developer and leave that for one minute, and then wipe with a damp cloth or tissue/paper towel.
Better to do one eyebrow at a time as they suggest so they both get the same developing time.
This is more potent than the powder capsules, so note that. I have the medium brown and I left it on only for the two minutes/1 minute and my brows were dark enough. It seems to stain the skin underneath but if so it looked good and I was happy with my results. So I caution you not to leave it on too long the first time you do it–you can always reapply for darker results if necessary.
It’s been 5 days and my brows still look good. I do notice some of it is wearing away but I also used oil cleanser a few times and that likely is why some is wearing away. However, my brows still look good and I have not had to use any eyebrow color for this entire time.
I don’t think it’ll last 4 weeks but even a week or two would be great not to have to color in my baby fine brows every day! Especially if I’m busy, or have to travel, or a situation where I just don’t have much time.
I’m happy with my order and will order again when this runs out. Better by far than the powder capsules.
