I had heard recommendations to use Biolage if you have oily or greasy hair, which I do. No matter what I do my hair gets very oily very fast, to the point where I usually have to shower and everyday, sometimes every other, to wash my hair. I wouldn’t have expected this to work on my hair because it’s meant for dry hair and I don’t have that problem. Because it’s a clarifying and calming shampoo though, it seemed to understand my hairs needs and give me the correct nutrients to keep my hair clean. I felt like when I used this my hair felt cleaner and didn’t get greasy as quick. I double wash my hair so I use a tiny amount, scrub it in, wet my hair and then repeat and wash it all out all the way. The scent is light and slightly earthy or plant-like. It’s the typical Biolage scent if you know what that is, I say it kinda smells like carrots. The consistency of the soap is creamy and white, and it lathers up well.

I was impressed with this shampoo and I’m surprised they don’t also market it towards people who do have oily hair even though that’s not the original benefits of the soap.

So far this is the best scalp (itchy) I’ve tried so far. It doesn’t completely get rid of the scalp itch, but it’s the best shampoo so far

  3. Abey G

Did nothing to help dandruff and itchy scalp

Super utilisation au long cours. Prendre en compte que les pellicules ressortent beaucoup lors des premiers shampoings.

The scent is very subtle and the shampoo leaves you feeling very clean. Helps to moisturize and freshen up your scalp. Keeps your hair feeling soft and light. Great shampoo!

Because this shampoo is for those with dry scalps, since I generally get a VERY greasy scalp- very fast- I was surprised when this shampoo cut the grease from what I normally expect to have after a couple of days of not washing my hair. There are very few shampoos that do this for me- but whatever they used to help those with dry scalps in this shampoo, didn’t add grease to my hair- like other shampoos seem to.

While this shampoo washed my hair fabulously- since it was Biolage, I expected it to be a very good shampoo. Not being able to afford higher shampoos like this all the time in my life- the few times I have used Biolage, I have been impressed with the results- and wished I could afford to wash my hair with this brand of shampoo all the time. Many of the times when I visited hair salons, in the past, this was also their shampoo brand of choice.

What drew me the most to this shampoo was, of course, the brand- but more importantly- that it was a calming shampoo. While it calms that hair, I found- all types (even the greasy scalped) it seemed- the scent too, was very de-stressing. Thinking of how I could describe the scent while I was using the shampoo only moments before in the shower- as I scrubbed dollops of it into my scalp, I tried to put the scent into words. This proved harder than it might be to others- as it is a very unique scent and I couldn’t find anything I thought smelled quite like it.

Though this shampoo has a light scent, it lingers all over you- when you leave the shower and still, while I sit and write this. While it smells a little like a vegetable- a little like a cucumber (or along those scent lines), with aloe added in it- all the best scents of the two combined- plus others I can’t quite name- when wet from a spring rain on in the early morning. It is a fresh scent and makes me feel like I am enveloped in a soft blanket- though it is just the scent that surrounds me now. I guess that’s the best way for me to describe this new scent and I apologize for something I might have missed, or done better- in relating it to others.

Unlike some of the other shampoos I had in the past (and quite recently, in fact)- this shampoo comes quite easily out of the bottle into my palm in the shower. However, make sure you open the bottle and take the plastic sealer off the bottle when you first use it- I got in the shower that first time with the bottle and couldn’t get the sealer off easily once my palms were wet and the water rained down on me. I had to get out of the shower and grab the closest thing to pop the top- a small screwdriver that was left inside the bathroom- and popped the top (and didn’t do it right the couple of times I tried- so had to keep getting out and getting the screwdriver ;).

If you are used to using a conditioner- you may still have to use it with this shampoo. While it does a beautiful job cleaning your hair- and proving all the benefits of a wonderful shampoo- since it is not a combination shampoo/ conditioner- you are probably going to have to combine one with this. However, I didn’t quite need a conditioner all the time and since I was sick this week and still recovering, I chose to only shampoo my hair and give it a break from the conditioner- as it makes my hair greasier faster. I encourage others to try the shampoo without a conditioner once, to see if you still need one- all the time- with this shampoo.

If you have any questions about this shampoo, please feel free to reach out and ask.

    Thank you
