For the past year I’ve completely transformed how I washed my hair and have taken scalp and hair care more seriously than ever before. I’ve been a blonde for 14 years and have always kept my routine low-maintenance pre, during and post-shower, not thinking anything of it. After a few unfortunate stints in the past couple of years finding a new colorist and having my hair turn out less than desirable, I took to nursing my hair afterward. This is where this scalp detox comes in. It was only very recently that I encountered it but I’ve been using one from Vegamour for awhile now and didn’t find that it does my scalp any good. This one felt much more cleaner with every wash. I never go above 10 minutes as per their instructions. While I cannot fully confirm this product alone has helped my scalp as I also do a monthly Japanese head spa treatment in-salon and based on their microscopic lens camera – one can see my scalp has been squeaky clean with no irritation or clogging of the follicles. So if anything, I believe this along with my regimen and the head spa helped to nourish better hair hygiene. The product seemed pricey at first but it’s a huge tube compared to Vegamour’s and less runny, so one will get much use out of it.
