Feels so good using this on my head. It’s not as good as the wet brush for tangles. But great to just do daily brushing and just feels so nice. I bought one for my daughter as well. She usually hates brushing her hair and now will actually brush it daily.

This brush is heaven sent. Used it after a shampoo and condition (where I finger detangle) on damp hair with some leave in. It gentles detangles from root to tip and left me shocked at how painless and honestly … comfortable it was. No snap, crackle pop! With this brush and I have coarse/thick strands and coily hair. My hair was still detangled as it dried. As someone who was using the Felicia Leatherwood, I strongly recommend the D38 over FL for anyone who’s tired of detangling brushes being too harsh and ripping out hair! Plus you can use this pretty much on soaking wet hair, damp hair, dry hair or while styling but it’s best used on damp hair with leave in. Great quality.

I bought this brush based on the reviews. I wasn’t stoked about the price. I got it today and was excited to try it out. First off the box was a crushed mess, but the brush was fine. It worked okay on my long wavy thick hair. But, I immediately I noticed the pillow effect while I was brushing. It’s weird that it deflates while brushing, I see that’s why there is a hole in the middle of the paddle. What I didn’t like, is there is a gap that appears because of this deflation and my hair got caught in it and was pulled out. Normally this wouldn’t be a huge problem, but for a $30+ brush, not acceptable. As I continued to use the brush I noticed the bristles are kinda hard and irritated my sensitive scalp. I also wasn’t totally impressed with its detangle ability on snarled hair. After I got through the tangles with a bit of uncomfortable force, yes it’s a nice brush. I ended up returning it because I expected more from an expensive brush and it actually does hurt my scalp, so I feel like when I brush I have to avoid my scalp. In addition to the weird pillow effect, it makes it a weird combination of having to use pressure to get my hair through the bristles, but then having it basically scratch my scalp at the same time.

First of all… as you can see from the picture I attached, my hair is quite thick. So of course I need something that will detangle without tugging, pulling, snagging, and breaking my hair off.
THIS BRUSH IS THAT GWORL!!! It glides through my hair like butter… BUTTAH!!!
And to think I was waiting for it to go back down to $18 (because I saw yall jack the price up to $32 and then “early Black Friday sale” had it at $25. Yall ain’t slick) but I got it at $25 and I honestly don’t regret a thing.
Not only is it great at detangling but cleaning it is easy because when detangling, there’s barely hair in the brush!! And it’s not because it’s not detangling well because IT DEFINITELY IS.
Also, it’s nice and sturdy. It doesn’t feel like I’m gonna have to replace it anytime soon.
My only complaint is the handle. While using it, I have to readjust my grip. Idk if it’s because the handle is so skinny or what- but a friend of mine (who ALSO loves the brush) said she puts a balloon on the end and wraps a rubber band around it to get a better grip. I’ll be trying that too.
I’ve heard MANY great things about this brush and they were ALL TRUE!
If you have type 4 hair or just have issue detangling at all, RUN DONT WALK to buy this brush!!!

This brush is great. It detangles my curly 3c hair very well and doesn’t pull. I lose less hair with this brush than with the unbrush. This brush has a hole in the middle which makes it appear as though a bristle is missing. I looked up the brush on the denman website and the hole is suppose to be there. I love love love this brush. Great purchase.
