I bought this shampoo and conditioner set to combat some recent hair loss issues, however after using it for just over a week I began to have bad breakouts on my scalp. The fragrance of it was good, but between there being no noticeable improvement in the hair loss and the breakouts I had to return it. I know I probably didn’t use it long enough to see a difference in the hair loss, but I just couldn’t proceed using it with the way it was making me break out.

What did I have to lose? More hair? I had six surgeries in 2020. My hair was long, thin and blonde. I could color it, curl it, blow dry it, wear it up or down. It was great hair. I’m 55 years old and had never experienced hair loss like this. It was not even noticeable for almost a year and then when I noticed it… It was too late. It fell out basically on one side of my head and to blend my hair to try and cover the area that was falling out the most, I had to cut it off to my shoulders. I was sad, upset and admittedly depressed about it as I am a vain lady. Smelled very clean as I changed out the lids and inserted the pumps. I was skeptical. I was scared. I had lost hope of having my hair look like hair. Feel like hair. And, I wanted to be able to manage my hair. So you can imagine where mine was and as I prepared my shower, I shed a tear and said a prayer and then decided to give this a try.
Newsflash! I’m about 3 months into this new Routine Shampoo and Conditioner and it has changed my life. Changed my hair. I do not use any other hair products. I did try once, my old shampoo and conditioner and other hair products like mousse, leave-in conditioner, heat protector cream and hairspray. Well, l will not make that mistake again! I don’t need any of the other products when I use the Routine products. I’m sold on these 2 items. I’ve had soook many ask me if I had hair implants or maybe wearing extensions for short hair, which I found kinda bizarre in the question itself….My husband is using the products and I cannot tell enough folks enough about how Routine saved my hair and got me out of my severe depression. It is a miracle for my hair. I don’t know if there is actual hair growth, but what I do know, my hair looks and feels like hair again. Thank You for making Routine. And .. making Routine affordable for this busy hands on MawMaw and Spoiled Housewife. This Momma is happy in the house and so is everyone one else in the house. The shampoo.feels wonderful. The conditioner is good. The smell is ok, nothing to write home about. The serum is very yellow and I’m worried it will tint my white hair. I might try watering it down with coconut oil.

I wanted to give this a couple of weeks to see if it lived up to the hype. I did some research before purchasing Routine, and it was one of the top recommended brands for people who have a lot of problems with breakage and hair fall. After about two weeks of use I’ve noticed the following:
– I went from losing enough hair in the shower to visibly clog the drain every time to losing only a few hairs each time. Depending on the day it’s been a 60-90% reduction in hair loss in the shower.
– Breakage and hair loss during the day also seems to have reduced but that’s harder to track.
Other benefits: I wash my hair usually every other day. Even though I live in the sweaty armpit of Florida my hair still feels and looks clean on day two instead of its usually slightly greasy feel. It’s even looked pretty good when I stretched it to day three.
I changed nothing else about my hair routine. I already sleep with it in protective styles or a bonnet, don’t use harsh elastics, use heat protectants and leave in products. I have very long (mid back), thin, color treated straight hair, and I’m over 40. This worked for me and I will likely subscribe.
I will probably change scents, however. The rosemary lemon grass scent is okay, but heavier on the lemongrass side than I would’ve liked. Bonus that it keeps away mosquitoes, at least.

Love this shampoo/conditioner. I have gray course hair and fight dry scalp and dry hair . I’ve been using for a month now and have noticed a difference in my scalp. I love how the conditioner covers my thick hair. Both rinse out very quickly leaving no residue. I turned my friend who has fine hair onto it and she loves it as well. Great product at a great price.

I have used this product for four weeks in a row. I purchased it because my hair has been falling off quite a bit. I noticed there is an improvement in the numbers of hairs on my brush. that is hopeful. I do like the soft texture of my hair, which is silver.. I am not giving hope.
