This shampoo is fantastic. It has a nice smell. It lathers up great and makes my scalp feel clean. Paired with the conditioner, it makes my hair shiny, moisturized, and soft. It’s pricey, however, which leads me to my next point…
What rational human being with more than a half dozen brain cells in their head thinks to ship a bag full of liquid in another bag?? Someone really threw a sack full of shampoo in a plastic envelope with no padding and thought it’d be a great idea? In case you aren’t aware, things get jostled while being shipped across the continental US. This stuff is expensive and a good bit of it leaked into the envelope. I’m aware that this is (probably) Amazon’s fault, so I’m not going to penalize Amika in my review.
Amazon, you guys know what you’re doing. You make enough money without cutting corners like this. Do better.

I love the mask from Amika so I ordered what I thought was the same smell and stuff, but it was not smells minty and I disliked the smell. But still good.

I have been using Amika’s Vault shampoo and conditioner for years and loved it. Earlier this year I tried to order more only to find it had been discontinued. On Amika’s website it says Mirrorball is the replacement for it and that it is “an improvement”.
It is most certainly not an improvement. The shampoo smells terrible like it’s gone bad, nothing like any other Amika products I’ve tried. It leaves my hair oily like I haven’t washed my it in a week. I get none of the shine I got from the Vault shampoo which Mirrorball promises. My hair is less soft and smooth with this shampoo than the old formula.
Overall, a big downgrade from it’s predecessor. Will be looking for a new shampoo and returning my unopened bottle.

It makes my air very soft, it is light weight, it smells amazing. The quality is amazing. I believe it helps bring back some health to my bleach and color hair.

My hair stylist recommended this shampoo and conditioner this is the one I’ve been using for 5 months now and I have noticed great results definitely more shine, thickness and my hair no longer looks dull as I get my hair bleached every 10 weeks. Highly recommend using and the great smell is a huge bonus as the public would ask me what I was wearing and I said it’s my shampoo and conditioner.
