I have medium coarse, fairly porous curly hair (2c/3a mix) that is balayaged blonde from basically black every few months. My hairdresser recommended it, and I had never used a purple shampoo before other than when another hairdresser used it on my hair once.
I use it once a week; after one scrub and rinse with my normal shampoo, I’ll scrub this into my scalp and get it on the ends or my hair as well. I’ll leave it in while I shave or do other things, probably about 5/7 minutes. Then I rinse and continue with my normal conditioning routine.
For me this does dry my hair out a bit, but I use an argan oil based hair mask right after and that restores a lot of the moisture.
It works just fine on my hair, keeps it from getting too brassy. It is expensive, but because you only need it once per week, it’ll last you a while. I don’t usually skimp on applications, either.
Gave it 4 stars due to price and drying only. Other than that it’s great.

Das Kérastase Shampoo frischt meine blondierten Haare wunderbar auf und neutralisiert den Gelbstich effektiv. Im Gegensatz zu anderen Silbershampoos werden meine Haare danach nicht strohig, sondern bleiben schön weich. Der Geruch gefällt mir ebenfalls sehr gut – dezent und angenehm. Zwar ist das Shampoo teurer, aber es ist auch sehr ergiebig, da man nur eine kleine Menge benötigt. Insgesamt bin ich wirklich zufrieden und werde das Shampoo nachkaufen, sobald es leer wird.

it’s hard to find a purple shampoo that cleans really well while also tones. This is the best one I have used. expensive but worth it.

Absolutely recommend for those frosted highlights in need of darker contrast; as a matter fact for those with dark brown hair showing rays of grays, it helps obscure them. Great lathering with just a nickel sized drop. Leaves your hair fresh, feeling lightweight and clean!

Literally my favorite purple shampoo! Works well with brassy/yellow tones without making it too dark/gray afterward. Very vibrant purple so I always make sure to rinse off of tub/wall etc. just in case it may stain. Using once a week is definitely enough in my experience.
