I’ve been a long time customer of Olivia garden finger brush. It’s perfect for long hair of all hair types and is a nice way to scratch the scalp and even tease the hair to create volume without putting oils from my hands on it. It separates my long fine waves and gives my hair a healthy delicate look and feel. If anyone were to ask what my secret to such healthy hair I would hands down mention this brush. Very little breakage. I even have an old brush with a row broken off (that brush lasted about a year or less when the original lasted many years. The ones I’ve bought off of Amazon have seemed rather fragile in comparison. I’ve continued to buy them here because they are worth it and when they break in the return window they have been great about it. My latest one I got in October broke on the side too so ive contacted the seller.) That I keep in the bathroom to brush through conditioner. It still is great just one less row. I have given these to friends with long hair and even gave one broken down by 2 rows (one on each side) to a friend who had dreads forever and doesn’t like to brush his curls. This feels so good on his scalp and he tells me every time he does a good brush out. It’s awesome and even if there’s nothing they can do I’ll be back to buy a new one soon enough ☺️ so definitely get this. Wonderful flat brush gentle on hair and allowing air to flow and cutting down on drying ti.e and energy. Just keep an eye on it because some arrive fragile and break quite fast even if you treat it as gently as it treats your hair. 💛

I first encountered this brush when my stylist used it after my haircut. It felt awesome on my scalp, so I asked her what it was and where to buy it. Truth be told, it seemed a little expensive for a hairbrush, but I could almost stand there all day and brush my hair, that is how good it feels. It was worth the money!

This ION brush has helped me to quit tearing my hair out, and that is important to me because I’m over 70 years of age and losing hair fast. It is like running fingers through the hair to get snarls out. Because it has ION, my hair has no static electricity and dries fast, and it looks pretty good without having to curl it. The prongs don’t fill up with hair, so there’s no cleanup. They are like fingertips on the scalp for a personal massage every time I dry my hair. I LOVE this new Olivia Garden Finger Brush and have recommended it to all my aging friends and those with thinning hair.

I found out about this brush at the hair salon I went to. I really liked it and found it on Amazon. It massages your head when you brush your hair and gets rid of tangles fast. I love it so much I bought one for my granddaughter and she loves it too.

This is an excellent brush design. The “small” size is a standard vent brush (I can’t imagine using the medium or large). It’s light weight, the prongs are spaced well (not too dense, not too open) and are nicely bendable, and the structure of the brush head — center column flanked by two outer arms anchored only at the base — makes it extra flexible and gentle. The finishing touches are great as well : I love that the collar separating handle from head has a tight seam and has never grabbed my hair (which is rare), and I’ve never had any of the little beads come off the bristle ends (also rare).
HOWEVER. The material used for the brush head is very porous and EXTREMELY brittle plastic. My first lasted maybe six months before one of the outer arms snapped in half. Olivia Garden does have a great warranty, and sent me a replacement in just a few days after I contacted them via email. I had hoped that I just got a bad batch — I have long fine naturally straight hair that I wear curly, but it’s not “difficult” hair at all. The brush was used gently, never traveled, never went in my handbag, never left the bathroom counter, and was never even dropped on the floor. Unfortunately, my replacement brush suffered the same fate of a broken outer arm last week. I’ve probably owned at least fifty hair brushes in my life, and I have never had one break. Now I’ve broken TWO of these in a year and a half. For a five dollar Goody from the drugstore, that would be annoying. For a $20+ brush, it’s really unacceptable.
I told evvvvvverybody about this brush, holy cow best brush ever, GET ONE. And that would still be true — all they’d have to do is replace the porous brittle material of the head with a much more dense/rubbery/flexible plastic (which seems like a no-brainer for a brush design that’s MEANT to be flexible). I still love their wonderful (and very sturdy) Ceramic Ion line, but I’m done with this one unless/until they swap out the materials.
** UPDATE MAY 2016 : I was recently contacted by a CS rep from Olivia Garden, saying they had just now seen my Amazon review (after a whole year, they’re still checking!). She said that the issue was indeed a manufacturing flaw — the bristles were being attached with staples going horizontally instead of vertically, which affected the structural integrity of the plastic arms. That issue has been corrected, and she sent me *yet another* replacement brush for free! This one does have its bristles attached with vertically-oriented staples (I had thrown the broken ones away, so I couldn’t compare) — I’ve only been using it for a week, so time will tell if this change is sufficient to prevent it from breaking. But they certainly get enormous kudos for such stellar customer service!

I use this in the shower on wet, conditioned hair. It works as well as the wide tooth comb and I think it pulls out less hair, so that’s good!

Simply the BEST brush ever! Doesn’t tangle my hair, doesnt pull my hair out. Doesn’t make frizzing. Goes through my hair perfectly. Weight is good and It’s my favorite brush, now! The curve makes it feel good when I brush my hair, almost like a mini massage. I can also make my hair straight with it, as the curve let’s me go to my scalp without a gap. I love it!
