Very impressed with this wig. My 5 year old daughter is on a competitive dance team and in one of the numbers she is Merida. In 2012 I purchased a Disney Merida wig for her for Halloween costume that worked well enough when she was 3, it no longer fit on her head well enough to dance and not have to worry of it falling off. I purchased a second Disney Merida wig in 2014 on Amazon and although it matched the item number/manufacturer on the label, it was horrible. Stringy, way to small and an ugly color.
I looked for months for a better option that wouldn’t break the bank. This wig is perfect. It fits well, the adjustable straps make it easy to tighten it down over her wig cap. I was most surprised at the length. The pictures of the Disney wigs exaggerate the length, but this wig is super long! The back goes well below her waist. The hair is thick, soft and the curls make it look very natural. I paid $29.99 with prime shipping and think it was well worth the money.

I used this wig with a claw clip to be Ms. Frizzle for halloween, but as it says in the title you could also use it for Merida and I think with enough effort for Winnie Sanderson. Definitely not an everyday wig, but worked well for my costume.

Nice looking Merida wig. Got it because of the good reviews. I usually pull the fronts of the wigs I wear away from my face because I don’t wanna deal with the flyaway getting in my way, and I did that with this wig as you can see in the picture. I combed the hair very carefully and braided them back and put them in a hairclip with a fake piece of thistle in it. Worked pretty well with me and didn’t fight me. I wasn’t too sure about the hairline but I got compliments on it so I suppose it looked pretty good. I don’t think I’ll be combing this one very much because I would ruin the curls.
    Would recommend this product.

The wig is really pretty. It very long and pretty heavy. Good quality. Arrived on time. I would buy again.

The wig arrived on time and was the perfect finishing touch to my daughter’s Merida costume. Great length, curls and colour!

Ordered this wig on the 29th … at my Door the very next day. Perfect for something different. Add a bit & a Bob & what did I get? A Viking Queen of course.

It’s a very long and nice wig, there’s a lot of hair and curls. The only problem I have with it (aside from trying to comb it but that’s a personal problem) is that it’s sewn in a way that makes it awkward to adjust the hair. It’s sewn in layers, moving not to the side but front to back and it makes it a bit akward to brush and handle. Aside from that, it came very nicely packaged in a box with cleaning instructions, a wig cap, and handling instructions.

    Ooooh….McGee!

OK, yeah…I am a Prime customer but let me tell you!

I have seen other Merida wigs that were more money and VERY chintzy…..

    This wig…is NONE of those!

    The specs:

It’s HUGE! It’s very full and to get the kinks and tangles out please PLEASE use a very wide toothed comb or an old school Afro pick. It falls really well, it’s LONG and as you can see w/my photo it makes a chubby/thick sister girl look…quite nice. I noticed it doesn’t have a lace cap which is a mixed blessing. I’ll have to hit Fantasy Costumes in Chicago on Milwaukee(shameless PLUG for Fantasy Costumes as we just met Svengoolie there and the staff were so accommodating, kind, thorough and said they will help me with the right adhesive for my wig, gratis. How’s THAT for a push, Fantasy Headquarters?) to get help with purchasing thr correct adhesive. The fringe/bangs/front area is a bit bent upward so I’ll futz with it with a hair dryer on low heat to get it in shape.

FYI, that photo? I just plopped it upon my head sans the wig cap(which is INCLUDED, thanks very much, seller! I lost my old wig cap(what am I saying? My friggin’ kids played with it last year and it is now MIA. Dang kids! Can’t they leave mom’s crap alone? Sheeesh!) So seeing one included made me very excited and happy!

As I mentioned I just plopped it on my head, pulled out a bit of my own hair which is the same color, and went outside to pick my kid up from Special Olympics and everyone asked, “oh, wow! When did you get your hair done? It looks incredible!”

They thought it was my REAL hair. 😄😄

This is a perfect wig to be Merida from Brave(I’ll be “Wreck It Ralph 2” casual Merida when she was wearing the flannel and T-shirt for Hallowee ) or if you want to be Victoria from “Twilight.”

Plus, it’s really warm as the weather in Chicago dropped from 85°F to 40°F in less than a week.

So, in conclusion, with a bit of gentle combing out, shake it a bit…just be gentle with her, using the right adhesive for the top/bangs/fringe area, using the adjustable straps that resemble bra straps and a few bobby pins you will be the best looking Merida, Victoria, or southern BIG-HAIRED ginger girl ever!

I am thrilled with this wig! I’ll feed her, groom her, take great care of her and treat her gently as I may even wear her during cold Chicago winters as it is crazy warm! Warmer than my Svengoolie signed Chicago stocking toque.

Get this wig! You will NOT be disappointed! I’m going to look into getting a long, brunette Cher/Morticia wig for next Halloween…or just for a warm, groovy and unusual hat!😁

    Good wig for the price!
I was very impressed with the quality of the wig and how much hair there was!

It has very unruly curls just as advertised. I used it for my barbarian cosplay and it worked fabulously.
The only reason why I gave it 4 stars is because the wig is not very breathable, I got sweaty very quickly underneath it and that in turn caused my scalp to start itching. I do have a lot of hair though, so I am sure that if you have thick and long hair, you may have this problem too.
Another thing is that the styling done to the bangs when you receive the wig, does not last very long.
In this photo I captured, it was perfect, but it was right out of the box. As I wore it to the convention, I lost the styling and it fell flat and looked a bit weird.
I’m sure that is an easy fix though, maybe with some combing and styling products you would get a better hold on that fabulous hairline style.

Overall, it was a good purchase and I would recommend!

The media could not be loaded.

I do a lot of cosplay. This wig did not disappoint. I’ve had it for over two years and have used it hundreds of times and it still looks brand new ! Great purchase.
