Empecé usando la pomada Layrite original y sus variantes, pero en algún punto que no termino de entender el costo de esta pomada empezó a subir hasta los cielos, lo que me obligó a buscar alternativas. Anduve probando varias Pomadas hasta que llegué a Suavecito, y quedé fascinado. Uso el cabello medio-largo, con capas y degrafilado, mi cabello es quebrado y uso la pomada original para lograr que le de estabilidad al cabello, pero sin perder la naturalidad del corte. Otro punto muy fuerte de la pomada es que tiene una buena reactivación con agua. Ya llevo usando esta pomada un par de años, y estoy bastante satisfecho con su rendimiento.

This is the only hair gel I will use. I used to use cheap hair gel and it would leave your hair crusty and dried out. This stuff has great hold but doesn’t make your hair sticky or crusty.

I like Sauvecito. I think it has a good smell and a decent hold. It is a bit, um, tackier than I like sometimes. It’s price isn’t terrible either, especially when compared to the other, more boutique brands. I do a simple high fade, side part, contour. No huge pompadour or anything. It holds it well and adds a nice little luster. I def think it has enough hold for the pomp crowd.
All that being said, I still prefer the tres Flores moulding pomade. When it comes to bang-for-buck, the tres Flores is hard to beat.

I love suavecito. I’ve tried other pomades and although there isn’t anything that necessarily makes suavecito stand out, the reason why I love it is because of its balance. It isn’t the strongest pomade but it’s strong enough for me and can even resist a good amount of wind, when proper amount is applied. It doesn’t feel heavy or sticky on your scalp even if you apply a relatively large amount. It sort of feels like if you styled your hair fresh out the shower, except it stays that way for the rest of the day. It’s a great pomade at a very reasonable price, actually more than reasonable I’d say. Overall its a great looking, feeling, and easy to clean pomade at a fantastic price.
