I love this shear set. It’s a great touch up set for men after using an electric razor.

When the pandemic was at its peak, barber shops were closed. I bought a set of clippers and haircut scissors and did my best. Luckily, my wife took over and, while we had some “hair raising” results the first dozen times, it got better with time. Now that barbershops are back, I still have my wife cut my hair. During this time, my wife always complained about the scissors. They wouldn’t cut well at all and it would snag, which hurt. I upgraded to better ones, but they were still just ok. This set is actually a step up above both those sets. They are very capable for a home set, but my in-law who used to cut hair says it’s not as good as her professional set.
The appearance is quite nice in the purple tones. The scissors and thinning shears cut well without pulling on the hair. The resistance is adjustable. They fit my wife’s petite hands well, but I suspect it might be a bit small for larger hands. My in-law tried it and said they seemed ok, but wasn’t as smooth as her set. The combs and clips are nice to complete the set, but nothing that particularly stands out.
While they may not meet the standards of professional barbers, I feel these are adequate for the home barber.

I’m not going to lie and say this is the best quality- obviously you get what you pay for. It’s an attractive price tag with just “ehh” quality. If you go in with that mindset here are a few details. The thinning shears are pretty sharp and they are effective. They have an adjustable screw on the side to loosen or tighten (same with the shears). The shears seemed to be fairly sharp, but line up a little bit off. The casting of both of these is wonky in the handles, but that’s more aesthetic. Clips and combs are just cheapies, but again, they do work for their intended purposes. The singular thinning tool has a sharp blade, but I’ll be honest and tell you I can’t really compare quality of this because I don’t use this type of tool. Overall, not a terrible set, but don’t expect professional quality.

These are a solid choice for those of us who do our own hair cutting at home. No, they’re not the best of the best professional shears- those will run you a hundred a pair at least. But they’re sharp, they’re very pretty, and they do a great job of cutting my family’s hair.
They are “right handed” scissors, which i didn’t even know was a thing in my apparent right-handed privilege. My niece wanted to try them out but couldn’t use them because she’s left handed. So, be aware if you’re of the sinister variety.
The case isn’t leather. I looked at the listing again, and though the title describes “leather” the fine print says “PU leather” which in this case means cheap vinyl.

These scissors bring sharp, effortless cutting at a relatively affordable price tag. I’m not sure that professionals would purchase this kit, but for those of us who are just doing home cutting and trims; it’s a steal. $29 for the kit with extremely sharp scissors that work great for straight cuts and layers. The pouch is sturdy and allows for keeping it all together when not being used. Really, it’s a nice kit for those just beginning or wanting to do maintenance trims.

The listing describes a “leather bag” for holding the set, but it is a case with some bands inside to hold things, kind of like the case one gets with computer maintenance tools. A case like this is more practical and protective than a bag would be anyway.
There is no documentation with the set, so I’m not sure what the “cloth” they describe really is. Other haircut sets include something like this as a cleaning cloth. At first I thought it was a strop made of leather because it is a thick material, but I think it’s a fabric of some kind.
Overall a nice haircut scissor and comb kit, and having a pair of thinning scissors is nice.

I love the quality of these shears. So easy to work with. They cut right through my hair. I have a tendency of cutting my ends with regular scissors which I know is horrible. I should have invested in a pair a long time ago because this cuts my thick curly hair so easy. I love that it comes in a nice sturdy case also. I can’t compare them to professional sheers but they are better than regular home office scissors, I can tell you that.
