Caveat: I have dark brown hair with a few gray hairs where I part my hair and in the front, so they’re very noticeable. But objectively-speaking, I don’t have tons of gray hairs. I’ve tried L’Oreal and other drugstore root dyeing products. This is more expensive than those but much better, and still much cheaper than going to the salon.

I normally use a medium ash brown hair color and my roots turn gray first as usual so I purchased this dark brown color to use to cover new gray coming in and it matches well with the color still in my hair and helps the roots look new again!

I ordered 2 Madison Reed root touch u kits. The kit is suppose to contain 2 applications however each kit only had ONE application. I can’t return as the return window is closed. I feel ripped off….

This is my first time using this product but it been coloring my own hair for 30+ years. Typically used esalon color but decided to try MR- medium br. I really like the color. The brush was too light, skimpy and there is no bottle option (after a minute, I went and got my brush, bowl out). It covered really well. They give you two small tubes, just enough for all roots on whole head. I’m not a newbie so I know to ripe off the color around my hairline, ears, neck. But after I washed the color out, I could see a lot of dark staining on skin around classic gray hair areas: side burns, bang part, etc. I immediately tried to wipe it off with their cloth (it smells like an alcohol wipe). It would NOT come off. I really scrubbed to get it off which, of course took color off of the hair. You can see the ear I scrubbed versus the one I didnt. I bought two boxes so I’ll try it again but don’t think itll be my regular go to.
