Did not work for my purposes. It was recommended by my hair girl and I purchased it here because I needed a travel size for a Florida wedding. She does not have naturally curly hair as I do, and I believe it probably works for here purposes.

I have fine curly hair and was wearing about 12 tape in extensions only adding an inch of length so that it was a little past my shoulders. The extensions are wavy and do not match my hair. I would blow out all my hair, then spray each piece prior to using a 1 1/2″ curling iron to create beach waves. I used this along with Oribe humidity spray. Both of these “helped”, but not enough and my style did not last while waiting(a ridiculous amount of time) for the bride. I did continually spray the humidity spray all over my hair throughout the evening. I also used this beach spray on my daughters thicker wavy hair and her curls did not last either. The bottle was gone in one week out of town in humid conditions.

So, it may be fine if your hair is mostly easily managed and you are nowhere “beachy” as in HUMID. I love the idea of soft touchable waves that stay, but I did not get that. Realize my hair is a difficult case so sorry for the looong explanation. As we are heading to humidity again shortly, my extensions are out and I will not be attempting to blow dry. I do like Oribe Curl Silkening Creme, but only in California on a dry day. : )

Does exactly what you think it should so . Lots of shine and you can create what ever shape you want by squishing

I have tried so many other products and go back to this one every time. Beachy texture but with moisture and shine!

  5. Cindy Calix

Compared to the original dried texture spray this makes the hair a lot more silky feeling rather than crunchy. This is excellent for the summer when the humidity is high and your hair is more prone to frizz. And you can still get the piecy beachy hair. I have yet to find a drugstore or even high end and alternative.

  6. TwoMonkeys

Compared to all of the other options out there, this bottle is absolutely tiny.I’ll probably get 2 uses out of it.I would’ve returned it, but after the fact it says not returnable. So lesson learned for me.I hope you don’t make the same mistake. This is the smallest bottle they could possible con us into buying.

  7. Megs

I’m in my 30’s, I’ve been on a year long quest to achieve a more natural look and style. Going from a highly manicured, dyed auburn hair, lots of makeup, to today my natural dirty blonde, grown out balayage, in stead of lots of make up, I have an amazing skin care routine and my skin is amazing. My hair, has just been so boring, damaged ends. This product is a little expensive but it’s totally worth it. It achieves the naturally effortless Parisian texture I’ve been never been able to acheive. Think Lou Dillion. Other sprays don’t work, they just don’t get it, it’s like watered down hair spray.

I have fine hair. I shower at night, air dry with a towel to get the natural curves and movement (that would otherwise be flat in an hour). In the morning I spray beach waves all over the hair, scrunch twice, the oribe dry shampoo at the roots mostly and a little all over for extra texture, scrunch twice, spray beach waves again. I don’t comb my hair when it’s dry, just detangle with my fingers as needed. This stuff only gets better the second or third day, you respray and your hair gets so much volume it’s awesome.

I haven’t been happier with any product.

  8. Tim Cook

Makes my hair really shiny and helps calm frizz. I have fine thin hair and was pleasantly surprised. I do blow dry my hair and it is awesome. So glad I tried it.

  9. toni cherry

Great quality, the scent is nice and gives great texture and volume! Perfect size for travel. I gave it 4 stars because it’s a little spendy for the sizes.
