I think like most women with curly hair, I’ve tried just about every product out there. The Surface Curls Firm Styling Mousse has to be the best single product I’ve ever used. I used to use 2-3 products together at the same time to get the desired look. Now, I just use this mousse to provide gentle control for my curly hair. I don’t have tight curls so when I don’t use any product, my curls don’t stay together, but with this mousse they do and my hair doesn’t feel tacky or crunchy. My hair is kind of thick, so I have to separate it and work in the mousse on each side of my end, working it from root to end, then use a diffuser to dry upside down (or laying back at the salon is even better). And it works best when my hair is really wet, not towel dried. I also love that Surface products are organic and cruelty free. For me, it checks all the boxes.

I have had a hard time finding something that worked for my hair. My new hair stylist recommended this so I figured I would give it a shot. I have sensitive skin so a lot of other brands have too strong of perfumes in them and they break my skin out. This product works very well, isn’t crunchy, and doesn’t bother my skin. It is a little pricey, but so far this is has worked the best. I’ve tried gells, herbal essence brand, beach salt sprays, etc. None of them have worked quite as well.

This product is great. I have natural curly hair and have easily tried close to 100 products in my lifetime for taking frizz out and creating soft curls. THIS IS THE BOMB! My cousin has ringlets of curls and recommended it. Well, she was right. Soft curls arrived without putting 5 different products on my hair.
You really must try this. I don’t have to search any more to get my curls & not frizz. 💕

Smells wonderful and even gives me great next-day hair. It’s my go-to product after I put in Ouidad curl quencher cream.
