Works and smells just like the original! Glad I don’t have to throw down $300 for an old expired one on eBay anymore

  2. David M. Robertson

I’ve been using Dirt Texturizing Paste since the beginning, when it was “Jonathan Product” Dirt. This is the third version, after two reformulations. The second version was harder, with a higher melting point, but retained the same vanilla smell and hold. This third reformulation is much closer to the original texture, soft and easy to collect on your finger, and the vanilla top notes are still there in the smell, but it now has the same nasty, oily underscent that every cheap hair product that you find at retail has, which I suspect is cheap parafin wax that they’ve swapped out for whatever the base used to be. I bought 2 tubs, will be returning one and not buying more. Bottom dollar corporate culture ruins another premium product. So sad. Now the search for a new product begins…

Feels like the original once again, after a couple failed relaunches and company ownership changes they finally got it right. If it ain’t broke don’t fix it. I’ve been a 15+ year customer so I’ve seen it all with Dirt. Good for them and us it’s back to the original formulation but now only 2.5 oz instead of 3.35 oz but almost $30. Shrinkflation strikes again.

Same scent as the original ever so slight difference in product texture but the result is the same.

    10/10 would recommend.

  5. Sasha

Smell amazing, smooth, feels great in his hair and boyfriend loves it for hair. I wish was a little bigger but he does use a lot so it enough for him.

  6. Alicia Fischer

Love this texturizing paste. Please note that a little goes a very long way. It is easy to use too much like a cream based formula, but this is not necessary and can leave your hair feeling sticky or greasy. Just a small amount is plenty, rub between the palms of your hands and comb through hair to add some grip and texture. Bonus, smells great.

  7. Santiago

I’ve spent hundreds trying different hair products. This is by far the best. I have a sensitive scalp, and had no issues with this product at all and the scent is decent. I’ve noticed that after a full day, my hair is still styled and soft at the same time. Will definitely buy again.

  8. Damian Holbrook

I was obsessed with the Jonathan Antin product line when he was at his “Blow Out” peak and the original Dirty was perfect. Smelled incredible, really gave that
“day after” texture and never felt tacky. It was a dark day when it all stopped and the line was shuttered, so finding out there was a new version out there led to an immediate purchase. Is it perfect? Nah. The scent isn’t that almond-y and it doesn’t exactly create the same texture. But it is a solid A- effort and it has lasted forever because you only need a small bit. I’d buy again for sure.
