I bought this based off a recommendation from a YouTuber for my hair type and it was a disaster. I wash my hair once a week and this made my hair so greasy I had to wash it after two days.

Used both the shampoo and conditioner a couple times. Maybe it’s just not right for my fine hair type, but it was just alright, and for the price not worth it tbh. Don’t get me wrong higher quality than other drug store products and I’m a sucker for cute packaging but, the redken volume injection I’ve been using honestly worked better in terms of overall hair quality post blowout. I noticed more frizz after using this product than I’m accustomed to on both occasions that I’ve tried it. I feel bad that I didn’t like it cuz I wanted to like it. For the price it’s just not worth to me when I’ve had better for less.

Boy, this shampoo ruined my hair in 2 days. Did it create more volume? Yes. Was it attractive? No. My hair was unhappy, dried out and unruly. It looked fried.
I stopped using it and just rinsed my hair a few days, and used some lamellar water. My hair seems back to normal now.
I might try adding some of this to another volumizing shampoo. Maybe some fluff can be achieved with less dramatic effect and visual damage. By itself though, I can’t use this shampoo.
PS- The photo of an apparently plump bottle is misleading. It’s 8 ounces, and smaller than your typical drinking glass. I used just a pea sized amount so it can go a long way but it’s still a lot of money for not a lot of product, and for me at least, not a great product.

I bought both the IGK Extra Love Volume and Thickening shampoo and conditioner for myself and my husband. We loved the immediate after-shampooing and conditioning effect. Our hair looked great—thicker and more voluminous with no need to use styling products (we have fine wavy/curly hair). However, after about a month of use, we started noticing a greater amount of hair fall. In the second month of use, we had never had so much hair fall in our lives. We thought it might be due to other factors. We used the product for 4 months. We then went on vacation for a month where we didn’t bring the shampoo or conditioner with us, and to our surprise, our hair fall went down by 75%. We had to stop using this shampoo. I love the conditioner and use it on my ends, as it is a great detangler. However, if you do buy this shampoo, keep an eye out for hair loss. I read other reviews where product users had the same hair-fall experience. It’s too bad because I thought I had finally found the right shampoo.

I have been using this shampoo for several months and I absolutely love it. My scalp used to get very oily very quick but after the first couple uses my scalp has never been so clean. This shampoo leaves my hair light, bouncy, and oil free. Smells great.

If I spread it around and really scrub it’s the first shampoo I’ve ever had that actually lasts 3 days. So far I’ve paired it with joico conditioner but I am keen to try the conditioner also.
