But it’s great and I do my own blow outs because I’m cheap. Tbh you do need the cream and only use a little, like follow the instructions. I have 4a hair and normally blow out and detangle it with biossance (I know it sounds horrific, but my hair is weird). This ish right here has my bf from the Caucasus mountains measuring my hair to see how close I am to my goal before my birthday. 100% recommend but only if you use it right and get the creme. My hair is softer than a feather and I’m not gonna lie. Measurements matter, measure your serum.

I purchased this as a bundle with the Mizani Press Agent Raincoat Styling Cream and it’s amazing. I use two pumps of the cream and one of this, rub them together between my palms and apply to my hair when it’s damp then I blow dry and WOW. Just wow. I add a little more serum before I flat iron and it’s like I got my hair done at the salon. I use low settings on both heat tools and haven’t noticed any heat damage. I’ve used these three times and am blown away by the results each time. I have not used the products separate yet. For reference, I have thick shoulder length relaxed African American hair.

MIZANI Press Agent Thermal Smoothing Raincoat Styling Serum
This works well to add a bit of shine and control to fly away hair. It was a bit too much for my fine hair and weighed it down a bit. I can see that this serum would work wonders on curly hair. It does offer thermal protection when using a blow dryer or flat iron.

Suggested Usage:
-Wash hair with Press Agent Thermal Smoothing Shampoo and Conditioner (sold separately).
-Dispense two parts Press Agent Raincoat Styling Cream (sold separately) to one part Press Agent Raincoat Styling Serum in hands and emulsify.
-Apply to damp or wet hair, starting at the ends and working your way up to the root.
-Reapply as necessary based on density of hair.
-Adjust amounts based on straightening needs and texture type.
-To finish, add one to two drops of the serum to dry hair to tame frizz and flyaways.

This is not all all what I thought it was. It’s a very thick, greasy product for styling dry, curly hair. If this isn’t your hair type, use only if you want coated, flat locks. Also, I don’t know why this is called a “serum,” as serums are usually much more liquid-y. This is a cream.
