I have been a big fan of this shampoo because it works and does what it says! I usually order from Shapiro.com because I would get a good deal buying bulk. But a couple of months ago, I ordered shampoo over the phone like I always did with a great deal and noticed the shampoo was not doing its job correctly. So I ordered from Amazon and paid extra for it, but this is how much I love this shampoo and compared the bottle with the bulk order and noticed a color differentiation, plus a whole month I noticed a big difference in the product, so I sent the bottles back from shapiro.com. They refunded my money because they’re a great company, and I will order from a local vendor now, Amazon, and pay extra because these bottles came from the back east, and somewhere along the route, somebody changed bottles up. This is my speculation and has only happened once, but once is enough for me. In the picture, you can see the color differentiation on the left is from Amazon; this is the color I have always known! And the right is from the bulk batch from the back east. This is my opinion; feelings do not mean it’s right.

Initially I was excited about this product. I thought I was seeing more new hairs than normal. However, after just a few weeks (maybe 3?) I started having an issue with it. Even though I wasn’t using it daily – just at regular shampoo intervals – my scalp became itchy from it. It seemed to be worse at night. Finally I stopped using it because it was interfering with my sleep.
After posting my initial review, the sellers contacted me and told me the shampoo worked better in conjunction with the conditioner. I agreed to give it a try. I followed the directions carefully. I also rinse VERY thoroughly after each use, and that seems to have eliminated the itching issue. (If I don’t rinse very well, there is itching, though.). I’m not certain yet, though, how well it is helping with hair growth.
So, at this point, I am changing my rating from 3 stars to 4 stars.

This product gets a 1 because it will clean your hair, like any other shampoo, but it doesn’t do anything else it claims. I gave it a very good chance too, using it over a year, following the instructions on the bottle. I’ve been going to the same hair person for 6 years and never told her I was trying this shampoo. I have very thin, fine hair, age 75. My hair has been getting thinner over the years as I’ve aged so I wanted to try a shampoo that might stop or slow it down. I finally asked my hairdresser if she had noticed a difference in my hair. Her answer was no, which I already knew. This shampoo is way too expensive to use to clean my hair, so I’m going back to a regular, normal priced shampoo!

I have been losing my hair for the past six years very fine very limp. I have been using very expensive shampoos for some reason. Nothing was helping. I read about DHT shampoo and conditioners and felt that this product was rated fairly high at least I can honestly say my hair stopped falling out. I am noticing new growth. It has been probably about 3 to 4 months now maybe I’m gonna continue the use. I do every other day wash it and once in a while I do a very good conditioner because it does dry your hair out a little bit, but it doesn’t make it limp like a lot of the vegan ones too, so if you’re like it’s not that expensive give it a try !
