The color of brown that it dyes is a nice dark brown. Doesn’t look like you’ve dyed your hair. I shower twice a day and so it returned a little bit of my color faster than I had thought. Didn’t want people noticing in a weeks time that my hair wasn’t as silver as it usually is. Its been a big talking point for years as I started greying in my late teens. So it’s very well known that I’m grey. Haha. I now maintain my color with use every other wash.

My “salt and pepper” hair had evolved to 80% salt and I wanted to try and turn back the clock a few years. I’ve seen too many obvious and/or mismatched dye jobs and was not interested in having to keep up with frequent root maintenance on my short hair. I decided to give this stuff a try and I couldn’t be happier with the results. I used it regularly for just two weeks and watched a full reversal to 80% pepper. The color and blend looks very natural (my natural color was medium/dark brown). Now I just use it once a week to maintain this desired mix with my remaining gray. Follow the directions and only keep it in for a couple minutes so you can control the change to your liking. I did get some food handlers gloves to wear so I would avoid the finger-tip staining which has been reported. Now that I am only using it once in a while these aren’t even necessary.

I don’t even know where to start.
I’ve been using this product since it first came out. The old formula was great. My skin is highly sensitive to the other Just for Men hair dyes. So when I tried the GX Grey reducing shampoo and subsequently the anti-dandruff shampoo, and it didn’t make my skin incessantly itch, or rashed, or red, I was really happy because it also worked really well. Since then “Just For Men” changed the formula.
Why did you change something that was not broken.
Because now you broke it. The GX grey reducing shampoo does not work no way near like it used to. It barely works. I have to use twice the product to get a result that is close to what I used to get with the old formula. WHY ?
Why did you change the formula. The new formula is the worst. It is bad, but I must say it is not as bad as the beard wash.
You have lost a loyal customer because your product no longer works. I’m sure you lost a lot of loyal customers.
Change the formula back and make sure you inform everyone and maybe, just maybe you will get you customer base back.
    Signed,
Very very very very disappointed in your product.

I have slat and pepper hair. After a couple of uses, by hair turned brassy reddish. I have used this product in the past. The formulation must have changed

The shampoo is more like an overall hair dye but seems to not dye white hairs. It made my hair as a whole darker and by effect made my white hairs less noticeable. So what you get is very less noticeable whites and darker hair overall if your hair is lighter than black. (My hair is a medium brown color). It does stain your fingernails very easily and I recommend following the instructions. I think it’s worth the cost and is way cheaper than dying hair and archives 90% of the same effects. I also use this on my beard with no issues at all.

This is a great shampoo in general. It also does reduce the grey level in your hair. Rinse thoroughly, and use an older towel for drying your hair as it will stain slightly. The color change is slow, not overnight. But the overall look is great. Very much recommend!

Have been slowly going salt and pepper since my 20s. Very slowly and mostly not noticeable until the last 5 years or so. 43 now and I’m apparently speed running having the hair of an 80 year old. lol ok, it’s not that bad, but it is getting very noticeable that I’m reaching 50/50 grey to brown mix.

I used hair dye before this and it does good, but it’s hard timing the set period when it’s in your hair before you wash. Too long and you have dark hair that makes it clear you are having a mid life crisis and dyed it, or too little time and it doesn’t do much.

I’m not hiding that I’m aging, but I do want to slow the premature grey I’ve had most of my life. This shampoo does it great. It blended out the greys and keep my hair my natural color! So I went from 50/50 grey/dark brown, to 20/80 grey/dark brown. You can let it set in your hair longer and more often to get it more blended out, or less time and less often to keep it a bit more “natural” (though, me using it 3 times a week for 2 mins at a time works great and my hair still looks “natural”)

Wish I had taken pics of before and after, but just take my word, it works. I’ll be using this from now on until I decide to give up the fight and let the grey take over in decade or longer from now.
