I have medium length pretty straight hair and it’s always hard to find something that keeps all my fly always down and keeps my part looking nice. I always hate that grease ball look and finding a good matte product with high hold is a hassle. I finally read up on reviews for this product and spent the 20. I’d pay 40 just because it smells so damn good. It keeps the hair nice and in place and it’s not annoying to run your hands back through it. (I hate when the product stays on your hands after touching) all in all I will continue using this and will be reordering, a lot of pomades claim they wash out easy and it’s a lie but this one doesn’t cling to my hair like an annoying ex. If you’re on the fence and use American Crew or Blind barber 90 proof even Baxter of California this one is the best of them all. (Try using a high hold moose before application so your hair is already in a desired shape before use)

Mit nur wenig Clay kommt man bereits sehr gut und lange aus, hat einen plastischen bis angenehmen Geruch, wirkt sehr wertig und auch anspruchsvolles Haar hält sehr gut. Sehr leicht auswaschbar.

I have relatively fine, medium length hair that lies completely fluffy and straight with no product. This is the first product that I have used that can easily hold my hair up and back all day and can still handle me running my fingers through my hair every once in a while.
It does give have a bit of a gel feel and is tacky all day long, but doesn’t leave a sticky residue on my hands like a gel and looks much more natural. Also doesn’t really get greasy compared to some of the Crew products I have tried in the past.
I still need to get the right amount down to a science, but I do have to use a bit more of it than I am used to with other products. I was super hesitant at first because of how greasy some other products get, but it really hasn’t been an issue.
The only con I can give this is personal preference… the sweet vanilla smell doesn’t do it for me. It isn’t awful, but I prefer a more odorless or neutral scent and this is really NOT that. Regardless, this will be my go to until I find something better.

Coming from Gatsby products, I wanted to try something new and did this not disappoint.
Tried On: Thick Asian Hair
Hold: The hold is quite nice and gives a lot of playability with the hair. It just goes where it needs to. However, after a few hours of going outside it can lose its hold. The good thing is, it is quite easy to restyle again without application.
Scent: It smells of a very light coconut smell and is quite pleasant. I’m not huge on scents and this was what I was looking for. You can smell it on your hands but people around you wouldn’t notice it unless they are directly smelling your hair.
Washability: It is quite easy to wash off with just water so you don’t have to worry about over damaging your hair.
Value: The price of the product is on the expensive end but it works as needed and I would not hesitate to buy again. I would prefer a product that works well and is good quality rather than a cheaper alternative.
Overall: Amazing product and I would definitely buy again.

Winner. Just started growing my hair (about 4 months ago) after 30 years of no-guard buzz cuts – so it basically wanted to stand straight on end… this stuff keeps it nice and tidy, and has even helped it learn to lay down on its own some.
Watch the moisture level – this stuff will pull if too dry and run if too wet.. water soluable. I get best results in the ~90 seconds after drying my hair, so I end up drying off after shower, dressing, rewetting my hair with a lightly wrung washcloth, then drying it again and applying.
RTFM says to rub it in your hands for 10 seconds before applying – DO NOT SKIP THIS STEP, I failed to do so on the first try and nearly wrote the whole product off because of how much it pulls.
I don’t wash it out before bed like I should too often.. but I see no noticeable residue on the pillow nor am I getting breakouts or extra damage leaving it in.
Washes out clean – just running water if you don’t wash the hair every day gets it out without issue.

This stuff is the Bee’s knees! I bought it because they stopped selling Rudy’s clay pomade and I wasn’t sure if this would measure up as a replacement. Well, it does. It is a fantastic product and the scent is pleasingly refreshing and not at all overpowering. The texture is perfect and unlike my old product it comes off of my hands so easily. Now for the part you want. It gives my hair the perfect volume and it holds up all day. I have medium fine short blonde hair and it styles and holds better than I had hoped. Please spread the word on Layrite cement clay. Get the word out this stuff is like no other.

I’ve tried many brands of hair clays and Layrite is by far the best! Holds up well and actually dries like a clay should, it does not run or leave hair feeling greasy / tacky like others. It’s the best product for a natural looking hair style.

Prodotto eccellente. Leggermente profumato, è piacevole ma svanisce dopo poco. L’effetto sul capello è opaco senza effetti lucidi o brillantinati. Tiene fortissimo anche ciuffi o acconciature particolari per tutto il giorno, anche d’estate quando si tende a sudare un po’ di più. Si sciacqua in un secondo con semplicissima acqua e non lascia alcun tipo di residuo. Nonostante abbia una tenuta fortissima comunque non è aggressiva sui capelli, anche usandolo tutti giorni rimane delicatissimo. Davvero un ottimo prodotto, avevo usato la Layrite blu prima (tenuta media), ma questa mi piace molto di più, ti pettini al mattino e i capelli non si spostano per tutto il giorno. E’ un po’ caro ma vale il prezzo, anche perchè ne basta davvero poca quindi il barattolo dura tanta. Sul lungo periodo credo che convenga rispetto a quelle da supermercato anche economicamente, ma la qualità è tutta un’altra storia.

This has been my go to hair product since my barber has introduced it to me back on Dec 2018. Easy to wash, not overpowering fragrance, great hold and most importantly it makes my hair look sleek. Only gripe is that my local stores doesn’t stock this item and the price tag is not cheap. My gaze would sometime wonder over the next more affordable product, yet I always find myself with this gem in my checkout shopping cart when I’m running low.
