I wanted a new hairbrush and looked at different options until I settled on this one. Yes, a bit expensive. However, I liked the idea of both boar bristles and nylon. Plus reviews had indicated this was a quality brand and the brush itself really did feel nice to comb hair with so I bought this.

Likes: Nice quality. Very nice with both the bristles and nylon. Like the wood finish, seems like this will resist water that may end up open the bathroom sink.

Dislikes?: This is smaller than anticipated. The price point is pretty high.

Overall?: It is a really nice comb. It is pretty small.

I have very long hair, ( not thick, fine, below waist)and was really impressed with the ease of removing tangles. There are differences in brushes. Cheap hurts snd the h as it does not look as good as with this brush. Use to dread brushing.

  4. Kiana Basiri

Received on open box item. The product is made in China not made in Germany as it indicated on the box. Terrible quality.

  5. Nina Willoughby

    Une sensation incroyable.
Cheveux plus soyeux dès le premier brossage et un véritable massage du cuir chevelu.
Le brossage devient un vrai plaisir !
    Belle finition du produit.

I bought this to see how it would compare to my Mason Pearson and I am not disappointed! This brush feels substantial in my hand and glides through my hair with ease, leaving it glossy and manageable without frizz. I love the company’s commitment to eco-friendliness and the bristles feel like a scalp massage/head scratch that’s just right. When my roots are getting a tad oily, the brush spreads that oil down the hair shaft, just like the MP does, and the savings is remarkable in comparison. You will not be disappointed. For reference, I have medium-long hair that is fine, but of average thickness. My hair is straight to very slightly wavy.

  8. FM

It’s an okay brush. But it drops bristles like crazy. And it seems to make my hair “staticky”. Pity!

  9. SPK

This is exactly the size I was looking for since it will easily fit within a purse, and will be easy to pack for an overnight or weekend trip. The handle is comfortable and the boar bristles are gentle on my hair, and seem to glide through even the tangles.

I bought this brush because I wanted to reduce the frequency of my hair washing, but I wasn’t about to spend over $100 on a professional branded brush. I find this brush to be very high quality with good weight that makes it feel professional. I have type 2A hair; I skip conditioner when I wash, and then every night I run this through my hair 100x to distribute the oils. I now consider it a mini spa treatment because it feels so good on my head. It definitely does what it’s supposed to – it has helped reduce the oils in my hair so I can go several days between washes. I also adds a lot of volume from roots to ends, so unless I plan on restyling my hair, I don’t use this brush as my daily go-to. It does work great as a way to smooth out hair evenly before heat styling. If I really want my curls to look sleek and polished, I will run this through the small section of hair before curling it.

Overall, I would recommend this product (and I have to friends and family) and I will buy this again if/when I need to replace mine.

I’d always wanted a Mason & Pearson brush, but they’re expensive. So for years, I had a Denman. Fine, but my Denman wore out. I thought I’d finally splash out on a Mason &Pearson- but they’re £100. So I found this Shash. More expensive than a Denman, but made with better materials, yet much less expensive than a M & P. I couldn’t be happier. It penetrates to the scalp, stimulating, but it doesn’t tear out the hair. Although my scalp feels rejuvenated, there is hardly any hair left in the brush. The lacquered wood finish feels nicer than the Denman plastic, bun it’s a third of the price of an M & P. I love it and would recommend it unreservedly to any friend.

I have both the large and small size of this brush. They both are high quality, but I prefer the small one for raking through my hair and ensuring I can brush through closer to the scalp. The small is easier for that than the large. They clean easily and smell fine. I also have similar extension-safe hairbrushes by Aqua and Great Lengths, but I prefer this Shash brand! It works well and makes my hair feel soft but well cared for, as it gets through snarls.

I almost purchased a similar brush from France that was over $200 but this brush is amazing in every way and I am so happy with my purchase. Grabs all the strands for a sleek ponytail and massages the scalp without being too harsh. Well made.
