Ever since I had my children, over 30 years ago, my crown of hair hasn’t been the same, having lost maybe a third of the thickness on top. I tried hair re growth products, but could not afford them for long. I grew my hair long and clipped it up, but had no solution if I wanted to cut it shorter. I tried a product by Joan Rivers, from QVC, which was sort of like eye shadow, but HAIR shadow, for the scalp. My hair is medium to ash brown, with streaks of silver, and her product worked. It covered my scalp wonderfully, but was sort of expensive, and borderline difficult. Plus, the brush got flat, and that made it even harder. I switched to regular eye shadow the exact shade, and it saved me money for essentially the same thing. Then I saw an ad for X-Fusion, and decided to try it, since it was cheaper than the QVC item, and looked easier to use. Boy, was I thrilled! It sprinkled just where I wanted it, quickly, and I just touched it a few times to settle it in, and moved to the next spot. I was done in a FRACTION of the time it used to take me. The medium brown is perfect, and this lasts me a long time. Longer than any other product I’ve tried. I am completely sold on this, and wish it had been around decades ago! I’ve been using it 4 months, and I still love its coverage and ease of application. How long it lasts you, depends on how often you wash your hair. I wash mine every 7-10 days, and the product stays in nicely, even after a sweaty run! Nothing runs down my face. And what comes off on the pillow is so minimal, it’s not even worth mentioning. To me, it is a god send, giving me a gorgeous looking head of hair, and the confidence to go about my day without being self conscious. Or without having to buy a partial wig! Thank you, thank you!!

This sprinkle mix truly works ‘magic’. I have a think area on my crown. W hen I first came upon this idea of sprinkling hair like fibers on thinning areas to essentially ‘beef up’ the thickness of the remaining hairs…I was skeptical. It sounded logical, but I didn’t think it would make enough difference. Boy, was I wrong. I use this XFusion every day and cannot go without. It makes your thinning areas look fully covered in real hair. I shopped many makers of this stuff and X-Fusion had the best price for the amount. Now, I use one bottle, but buy bulk fibers because it is 10 times cheaper to refill my bottle than to keep buying new bottles with fibers in them. Many fibers work the same. DO NOT sprinkle on wet or damp hair or else it will clutter up and defeat the purpose of spreading evenly. Make sure hair is totally dry. Hand -pat the sprinkler so they settle down in on your hair and scalp. I use the back of a brush or something wide, flat and hard to also pat down the area enough so sprinkled are NOT sitting on top of hair and will blow off. Sometimes I spray a tiny bit of my wife’s hair spray after sprinkling to make sure it stays put. That works very well. because if you don’t, even having your windows down in the car could blow it off partially (not all of it, because it DOES stick by itself) . *NOTE: Warning: I have noticed a thin layer of what I finally realized was this sprinkle mix in the back of my car on the side door frame inside. Yes, it seems that if you are not careful with the wind blowing in on you while driving….it blows some fibers off and they land throughout the back of the car. Not a whole lot, but enough where if I use a wipe and wipe off a surface in the car…it contains a layer of fibers that came from my head. Hairspray helps to reduce that. I will submit photos later.

I’ve never used any of the hair enhancing stuff and I guess my review is that this one does its job well enough but with caveats. The whole premise that Toppik, Caboki, Xfusion and any of the rest of these products work due to magnetic bonding or magical physics leprechauns is mostly pretzel logic. Shake shake shake, The glorified powder (some short and long strands mixed in) sifts through your compromised locks and mostly settle on your head. So…yes there is a dramatic improvement over NOT seeing your scalp, but lets face it, upon close inspection, what is visible, particularly at the hairline where people can see the separation between hair and face is that your scalp looks dark. Fortunately with the powder/keratin fibers in place, it’s difficult to see what is hair and what is darkened scalp due to overhead light not reflecting the skin of your head – from dead on it looks pretty dark up there. So it’s difficult to tell that your hair is still thin but now you have a brown skin on top of your head. Anyway, I do feel better when I look in the mirror, which is nice, but I also worry about people who are too close to me glancing at my hair and thinking, “wow, that guy’s head is really dirty under that thinning hair.”

What’s more frightening is how to tell if your crown is properly covered. I sure don’t want a powdery scalp where the few tendrils of hair still remain. Anyway, X-Fusion is at least far more reasonably priced than the big guns are.

You can go through my previous reviews. I’ve tried the most expensive and least expensive, and this one, right in the middle, beats them all. Truly. Great product, great value for the buck. Even better than the much more expensive (Top***) brand. The application uses minimal fibers, so it does not cake up on your scalp… I was out all day in literal gale force winds (look up NYC weather on 2/18/22) and it held up exactly the same as it did at 8AM when applied (it is now 10pm). I can style and run my fingers through my hair with zero to minimal residue. It does not cake up on your scalp or flake off on your clothing. They absolute only way you can tell you are using it is if some actually scraped your scalp with their fingernails. But normal hairplay in absolutely in now way noticable.

I promise you will not be disappointed and I promise I was not compensated in any way for this review. Thank you to whoever invented this.

Lost some product in transport due to the tape over the opening coming off. The product itself is amazing. Works to thicken existing and hide thinner areas.

  7. Fidan from Calgary

    Useles. Waste of money.
First of all it is visible.Dont stay long. From even drop of water it lumps up.

  8. ShantiClear
