I am really stunned by all of the postiive reviews for this product. I have touched up my roots for years in between trips to the salon, using drug store brands and never had this issue. I have light brown hair with blonde highlights and about 10% grey. I had about 1/4″ grey showing at my hairline and roots both times I have used this product.
The first time I used it, I left it on for 45 minutes and had noticeable grey using this kit. My hair felt great, but my roots looked exactly the same.
I decided to give it another try after talking with my stylist. I reviewed the instructions and made sure I was following them exactly. I left the color on for over an hour. Same result. Soft hair with grey roots, as if I had done nothing. Absolutely no grey coverage.
Will not purchase again.

I have medium rich brown hair. I went to Aveda salons for years but where I now live the prices everywhere average $65 for a single process color to color the new growth. I’m retired now so that’s too steep for me. I’ve colored my own hair on and off during my adult life so I’m pretty good at it. Normally I mix half and half, medium and half dark brown, but since I had never used this product I tried medium brown first. It was a tad too light so I ordered dark brown this time and used half and half. It came out perfectly. I have very gray roots and left it on a full hour. A plastic cap is provided so I just put it on and watched tv while it processed. There was very little odor when I was applying it and no scalp burning. I washed it out in the shower. It’s easy to wash out and doesn’t stain tile or grout. There was little to no fading with the medium brown so I expect the same with this especially since it’s a bit darker, but I will update if that happens. I wish they would come out with more shades. I think going too dark with dark brown and too light with medium brown is a common problem so maybe they will expand their color range some day to add a rich brown 4.5 N. Most of the at home colors I’ve used have faded to a brassy shade at the part so the gray didn’t stay colored well, plus other problems. I think this is the closest to salon color I’ve ever found. Buying 2 kits in two different shades will last 4 months since there are two applications in each box. It works out to $12 an application which I am more than happy to pay for a great product. It sure beats $65.

Love this product. I have used it several times starting back during the pandemic when salons were closed. I now use it in between trips to the salon when I am too busy to get there. Saves a lot of money and matches my salon base color perfectly. I use medium blonde and leave it on 15 minutes more than suggested to ensure my grays are covered. The result is consistently great with no damage so I can count on it. Color will gradually start to fade in about 5 weeks but that could be because I wash my hair most days.

I have brown hair with natural blonde highlights. I’m noticing a lot of gray near my hairline. I decided to try the light brown and it worked perfectly! Instructions couldn’t be easier, the box has two applications, left it on for the recommended 45 minutes and it turned out lovely! So happy I purchased!

I stumble across this product looking for hair dye.
The reviews state its expensive. However you get what you pay for. I dyed my own hair for the first time instead of going to the hair salons and I love my results. My hair doesn’t feel brittle like other dyes won’t name them. My hair still feels naturally soft. I do put leave in spray to help with growth retention and to keep my edges moisturized along with my scalp. I will buy again . FYI IT COMES with everything you need gloves, bowel , comb hair cap and 2 small samples of the powder. So it’s a winner for me.

This is a great product to do yourself in between your regular hair appointments to cover gray. It doesn’t last as long as a salon treatment but it does a great job. My hair always looks extremely healthy after using this product, and I do even get compliments, people asking if I just got my hair done, it’s easy to work with. Definitely worth it.
