I’ve been using Surface Push Powder for years. I have very fine, straight hair. The key for my hair type is to put this on the scalp when hair is wet – and THEN blow dry. Adds a ton of texture and volume!

My stylist recommended this and I really like it a lot. It works best to add grit and texture to hair and works better if you don’t shampoo your hair every day. It works really well with the natural oils in your hair for absurdly playful texture and volume possibilities. I’m having a blast with it.
My only complaint is that I don’t know how much is in the container because it feels very lightweight to start with. I use about a nickle-sized pile in my palm and gently get my other hand involved for covering my hair as evenly as I can. Doesn’t feel sticky or crunchy like using a spray or mousse sometimes can. I’ll probably buy again unless the canister doesn’t last as long as I think it should. It’s pretty expensive, you know?
