The product is watery. I equate thickness with quality but using this I can run a comb through thick curly hair that otherwise is knotted with other top brands of thick conditioner. Wonderful product. Exceptional quality conditioner.

I heard so much about Redken, so I definitely had to try out just a sample. I bought both this travel conditioner and the shampoo, and somehow my hair felt softer after ONLY shampooing?? I have the tangliest hair in the world and usually have to use very thick detangling conditioner. I have a few that work, but this is #1 for me, because it is not thick, it smells good & is fabulous a fabulous detangler. I leave it in for 2-5 minutes & the tangles comb right out. It also leaves my hair silky smooth for the days I choose to blow dry it and/or use the straightening iron. If Paul Mitchell’s
Detangler (my second choice) works well for you, you might consider this product. It’s just as good or better at detangling and much better at protecting & smoothing dry hair.

I have long, natural hair that has become severely damaged because of having to wear it up in a pony/bun all the time. Over the last year or so, I’ve tried all kinds of moisturizing conditioners, masks, treatments, & leave in conditioners with little improvement.
The Redken Extreme line had great reviews, so I thought I’d give this conditioner a try. Wow! After the first use, there was an improvement in the texture & dryness; I’ve now used it about 5 or 6 times, and my hair is smooth, shiny & feels stronger (it doesn’t break as easily, it has some elastic now). The other thing I noticed with the Redken is that the conditioner is absorbed by my hair, whereas other conditioners seem to sit on top of my hair & coat it.
This is going to be my regular conditioner from now on.
