    Things I like:
+ Lots of air volume makes drying hair fast
    + Very portable
+ Magnetic attachment easy to remove

    – only knock is the high heat setting is not very hot. I think is on purpose to not damage hair but use to having more heat

I love this hair dryer. It is compact and dries my hair quickly. (And yes, the pink color is pretty cute.) It’s fairly quiet and the controls are no nonsense. This dryer does exactly what it should and I’d recommend it to anyone.

My wife loves this hairdryer – and so do I!

The form factor, weight, and operation are all an improvement from the budget one we’ve been using, and the quality difference make us question why we didn’t upgrade sooner.

There is a single focuser which can attach securely, but easily, via magnets, and it stays on, even when thrown into a drawer with a bunch of other tools.

The intake is at the base of the handle, which means longer hair is less likely to whip around and get sucked into the intake that normally on the back of the blower.

But the best part – It’s super quiet, and even with the bathroom right next to the bedroom, I can sleep in that extra ten minutes in the morning. 😀

This hair dryer is lightweight, powerful, and perfect for traveling! I also love the light pink color! This works just as well as my older Dyson hair dryer for a fraction of the cost. This would be an excellent gift for any woman or girl!

I love the design of this dryer, the accessories just attach magnetically, and you get 360 degree rotation via the magnetic hold. Easy to hold and not heavy at all. There are 2 airflow levels and 3 temperature settings. The temperature settings are color coded (blue, yellow, red), plus if you hold the temperature button down for 2 seconds, the dryer goes into “auto temperature sensing mode” in which it will alternate between hot/cold to maintain that perfect balance of heat to not dry out your hair. Just short press the temperature button again or turn off the dryer to go back to normal operation. The hair dryer is actually much quieter than I thought it would be with all the airflow that it generates. The air intake is at the base of the handle….though if you have big hands, you might have some trouble holding the dryer without accidentally blocking the air intake. Personally I love the air intake at the bottom of handle. Seems to not get dust or hair clogged in it like my old dryer, and it is also easy to clean the air filter system. The negative ion technology is where this dryer earns its money, making it different from my old-school dryer. This dryer not only dries your hair faster, but it does not dry out your hair in doing so, which means your hair looks nicer and there is no static frizz. It also comes with a safety circuit breaker plug, which is good to have to prevent any damage/injuries from surge/shock.

I do wish it came with a holder, but I did see some cool magnetic holders on Amazon so I will be ordering one of those.

Overall I am loving this new hair dryer. No more frizz and I spend way less time drying my hair. It is so much better than my old hair dryer….way lighter to hold and much quieter, while doing the job faster.

This dried the hair but by no means faster than the most expensive brand. To compare this dryer to that top brand is not a fair assessment. They look similar but this one is way less in functionality.

I own a Laifen Swift which I adore, and was very interested in trying this hair dryer. Dreame, to me, is a bigger brand given its popularity in the robo vacuum world. The look of Dreame’s Hair Gleam is a bit pudgier. The head and nozzle are both shorter, and the body of the hair dryer is a bit thicker. It does not feature a circle LED that shows you the temperature. Instead, the button to control the temperature changes colour between the 3 wind speeds.

Everything else mainly operates the same, so much so that you’d think they came out of the same factory! In terms of specs, Dreame has a MUCH higher rated wind speed of 65 m/s (compared to 22 m/s) but honestly, I could not feel that difference apparently. The noise is approximately the same. One is slightly higher pitched but honestly I can’t feel much of a difference in terms of noise level. The Dreame temperature is a bit higher which I actually don’t love, since to me a great advantage of these faster airflow compact hair dryers has been their ability to dry my hair at lower heat within the same time, which reduces heat damage and doesn’t overheat me as much in summer. The cord is slightly shorter than my Laifen BUT Laifen has an annoying box toward the end of its power cord, and the Dreame cord does NOT have that box and is slightly longer if I only compare it up to the box on the Laifen. Lastly in the comparison, the Dreame is slightly lighter at only 330g (compared to 407g, but I did not actually weigh the hair dryers. These are info from the websites). Oh and it only comes with 1 nozzle. I do NOT see an option to buy a diffuser attachment.

    ✅ Magnetic nozzle attachment
✅ Super easy to clean bottom filter
    ✅ 3 Temperature modes + ability to circulate between hot/cold (Cool 25°C, Warm 57°C, Hot 85°C, Circulate)
    ✅ 2 Drying speeds
    ✅ Comes with 1 nozzle

The price of the Dreame Hair Gleam is actually excellent for the features that you get and is cheaper than the alternatives that I’ve tried with similar features. Dyson Supersonic (which I have never tried due to the price) is $500+ and when I got Laifen it was $180. As long as this hair dryer lasts, I would totally recommend it.

The dreame Hair Gleam hair dryer works quite well. It moves a lot of air over your hair quickly and has a variety of settings that should allow you to find the one you like. My wife really likes the setting that alternates between hot and cold.

The attachment nozzle is very easy to use and set how you want due to the magnetic attachment to the hair dryer. In addition, the filter at the bottom of the handle is just as easy to get to so you can clean it as it’s cover is also magnetic.

From a safety perspective, the cord has a built in ALCI (basically shock protection) and is at least ETL certified (no CSA certification markings.

This dryer is not overly loud or high pitched. It is light enough to use for extended periods. The one area this product could be improved in is the length of the cord. It seems to be about 12-18″ too short (compared to 2 other hair dryers in the house, this one has the shortest cord). This can cause a couple of issues. First, your hand sometimes goes to the very bottom of the handle as you have to adjust the “pivot point” while using. This ends up covering the air intake which you can’t do. Second, it does make the unit feel heavier as you are struggling against the length of the cord.

This feels and works like a high-end hair dryer, and at time of writing, there is a $30 coupon which adds even better value. My one recommendation for improvement to manufacturer would be to increase length of cord as taller people would find this easier to use when standing at the bathroom vanity drying their hair.

I don’t use hair dryers often because they make my hair dry and frizzy, and are too loud next to my ears. But this hair dryer is amazing. It does make noise, but not like my regular hair dryer. It is much quieter, and the noise doesn’t bother me. It is lightweight and easy to hold. It has a strong airflow (there are 2 settings for airflow – Low and High). My hair is long, a few inches past my shoulders, and this hair dryer dries 80-90% of my hair in 3 minutes – and that’s only using the Warm setting, not the Hot setting (it has 4 settings – Cool, Warm, Hot, Cool/Hot Cycling). Not only did my hair have significantly less frizz after using this, but I was also surprised at how soft my hair felt afterward, which wasn’t something I was expecting. It comes with one attachment, a smoothing nozzle, for those who style their hair. The attachment is magnetic and easy to put on, position as desired, and remove. I love this hair dryer!

This is a compact hair dryer but don’t let the compact size fool you. It packs a massive amount of power. I have very long hair past my rear and this hair dryer dried my hair in 15 minutes. It is easy to hold onto and wave all around your head without tiring out your arm. Its small enough to not take up too much space when putting it away. I use it every 3 days on my hair washing days. Highly recommend!

  11. Grace

This is a compact, relatively quiet (for a hair dryer) hair dryer. Easy to use – one switch for air flow (off, low, high) and a toggle button for heat settings. Works as expected. I can’t vouch for the negative ions and their impact (I just can’t tell one way or the other), but otherwise functions quite nicely.

The motor is in the handle making for an easier to hold dryer given the weight distribution. Be careful of where you place your hands on the handle – the air intake is at the bottom (you will hear the sound change if you cover it up).

I also appreciated that this product bears the ETL (similar to an Underwriters Laboratory) mark – and the product is listed on the Intertek (ETL) website. Good to have the reassurance of third party testing for a product like this.

I ordered this as a backup blow dryer for our spare bathroom. After one use I knew this wasn’t going anywhere near the spare bathroom but would be staying in my bathroom.

This little blow dryer is small, but boy does it push through a whole lot of air to quickly dry your hair. I am super impressed by how well this item works, how light and compact it is and how it is relatively quiet (considering what it does).

There is a low and high speed on the blow dryer, although low speed is already plenty good. You can choose the temperature setting that you would like – cold, warm, hot or hot/cold cycle. The temperature setting is remembered for future use. There is one nozzle attachment with the unit that is easily put on or removed as it is attached magnetically. You can also easily rotate it to whatever angle you would like it. Since the machine is so powerful I prefer to use it with the attachment, otherwise it sends my hair flying all over and creates a huge knotty mess.

While the blow dryer boosts of being able to dry your hair in 3 minutes, the is really subject to man factors. I have long, fine hair but a very large amount of it. It takes me longer then 3 minutes to dry my hair, but this item is still significantly faster then a regular blow dryer.

The air inlet is at the bottom of the handle, so you do have to make sure you are holding the handle at the center so you do no block the air flow. The air flow filter is magnetically attached, and overall it attaches well, but I have found that it has knocked off a couple time when putting the blow dryer away, not a big deal, but something to watch to make sure it’s in place.
