I washed the hair when it came in. There wasnt much color in the water when washing so thats good. shedding was minimal, light smell. I let it air dry w leave in conditioner and it looks so natural. I will probably brush it out for a more fluffy like for now. adding pics later 🙂

I bought this ponytail as a “rotation piece” to a more expensive one I have from a reputable company.
I’ve been buying wigs for years, both human and synthetic, from various companies. This isn’t my first rodeo with buying an off-brand from Amazon, so I knew what to expect upon receiving my purchase including:
– “Human hair” wigs are usually human hair blends.
– It may come with an odd odor.
– The quality will range from ok-trash. So read the reviews, especially the 2-3 star ones.
– “4C” wigs and hairpieces are going to be 3C-4A at most and you’re going to have to work some magic on your purchase to make them look natural.
So why the two stars? Even with my lowered expectations, I still came into issues including:
– Shedding. The shedding is incredulous with this ponytail. It sheds when you touch it without combing it. It sheds when you gently wash it. It will shed when you look at it the wrong way. It just wants to shed.
-Cleanliness. I found small pieces of lint and stray threads, including one bright red thread sewn into the mesh cap. Even with low expectations, this is not acceptable. The wig was new otherwise, never used. I decided to keep the unit anyway since I needed its use sooner rather than later.
Also, this is definitely a human hair blend. Some of the hairs feel synthetic. Hair texture is 3C-4A with 4C on the ends. I expected this, so these factors did not count in my rating.
Pros: The ponytail is a nice black color, so I did not have to dye it. Also, it is very soft and takes well to human hair products.
