This line is a really great product. I read the many reviews and decided to give it a try, as I wanted to make a switch from Purology Nano (that’s really great too). I just like changing up shampoos every once in a while and I had bought a huge container of Purology, so it had been a while.
I first saw this shampoo on the Neiman Marcus website and it had received a beauty award. I figured if they sell it, it must not be mediocre. I looked around the web @ Sephora and Ulta and read reviews there and priced it too. Best price was Amazon by a landslide.
This was my first experience with an Alterna product. Both the shampoo and conditioner have a nice smell and leave my hair very soft and super shiny. I color my hair auburn and I’m alway worried about shampoos stripping the red out. Not a problem with this line. I saw less color going down the drain when I used this shampoo combined with rinsing with cold water. I’ve seen a visible difference in the shine and the smoothness of my ends.
I’m loving this duo and will buy in a larger size next purchase. I also want to try some of the other products in this Caviar line.

I’ve used alterna products for years now and my favorite is the caviar. I have naturally curly (not tight curls) long coarse strand hair that likes to dry out a lot. It makes your hair extremely soft. The smell of the product is different, it’s not bad but it isn’t like a lot of the brands out there.
If you are on the fence it is expensive in stores but you can smell it. What was shipped looked like someone bought up all of the value packs and is now reselling it, I was hesitant that it wasn’t good anymore but I used it and it worked just as well as the store bought one. I would keep my eye out though because everything has a shelf life.
Great product, 5 stars for the product. 4 stars for the seller of the product because I don’t know how old it is or how they got their hands on it but great price from them.

The product is great but arrived with some of the conditioner all over the package. Could have been the heat but I think the cap was not tightened and leaked.

I love the shampoo and conditioner but disappointed in price increase! It was a good value buying two large bottles that last a long time but eventually as price increases more and more may no longer buy it. It’s still less expensive than salon price but not much!

First let’s address the price.
Yes it’s higher priced than other products. BUT! One pump of the shampoo and one for conditioner covers my whole head of hair. ** I have a lot of hair, shoulder length (a little longer actually) and very thick head of hair.
Now on to the product itself. I can’t tell you how much I love this! I’m disposing every other shampoo I have. And I have been trying a lot! itely aloxxi Moroccan oil.. and more! My vanity looks like a salon. 🤦♀️
My hair is left clean, without being weighed down. And I wash it daily!
No frizz
Non greasy
Smells great
And again 1 pump of the shampoo gives a lot of lather!

Great shampoo and condition, although expensive it is worth every penny and last a long time. My hair feels thicker and stays in much better condition than I use cheaper product’s. Really well packaged and arrived way before the delivery date.

This shampoo and conditioner is one of the best hair products I have ever used. For over a year I had been struggling with dry scalp. I have used every home treatment , anti dandruff shampoo and every “natural treatment” out there. We even put in a new water treatment unit. I didn’t think my hair was dry and some of the products made my hair dry or very oily but the dry itchy scalp never improved. This was a new problem for me, the only thing I was doing differently is that I stopped coloring my hair. I am now a silver haired grandmother. I bought a travel size set of Alterna Caviar replenishing shampoo and conditioner to give it a try. It was pricey but much less than the regular size bottles. I liked it from the first shampoo. My hair felt silky and the shine incredible but best of all I thought my scalp was less dry and had fewer scales. I was dubious that the improvement would continue and that I would get build up from the conditioner. By the time I was coming to the bottom of the trial size I knew I would need to get the full sized bottles. I bought the 16 oz sizes with the pump and I am glad I did. I have fine hair and I usually can’t use a conditioner on a daily basis, this product is totally different. I use it every day. My hair is soft but easily managed with a very nice shine but best of all, my dry scalp has cleared up. I never thought I would spend so much money on hair products but it has been worth every penny to me. I use very little and it should last me a long time.
