Im so glad I bought this. I wash my hair once a week so after day 3 I just wear it up and use leave in conditioner instead of Gel or Hairspray. It works well but my hair gets pretty greasy. This product washes all residue away and then I go in with my shampoo and it makes it lather and cleanse so well. My hair is soft and clean afterward. A must have.

I have fine coloured and bleached hair, my ends get dry and my scalp gets oily. I try to wash about every 3 days. This stuff is incredible. I usually use Redken bonding shampoo, conditioner, and mask. When my hair is a little too oily or weighed down, this stuff is amazing! 🙂 this also smells pretty nice. it’s a very light citrus smell, not overpowering at all.

I use Redken’s hair cleansing cream once a week to tackle product buildup on my scalp, and it consistently delivers excellent results. Though it’s on the pricey side, just a little more than a large coin-sized amount is enough to deeply cleanse my scalp, making this product last a long time. I typically leave the cream on for 5-10 minutes before washing it out and following up with my usual shampoo and conditioner.
After each use, my hair feels squeaky clean, free of any residue, and refreshed. The strong citrus and lemon scent is refreshing while the cream is in my hair, though it doesn’t linger after rinsing, which I appreciate. The deep-cleaning effect is immediate, and I’ve noticed a marked improvement in the overall cleanliness and health of my scalp.

I have been struggling for the last two years with build up on my hair especially from hard water. I have tried so many different products to try and help, but nothing has worked that great for me. I was previously using Ouai Detox Shampoo. It worked kind of, but I still always had build up right after washing and my hair felt so heavy. I just used this product for the first time and I almost cried after drying my hair. #1- my hair took a FRACTION of the time it usually takes to dry my hair. #2- My hair feels so light and smooth! This is the product I have been needing. This is 100% going to be a staple in my hair care routine. I do think it’s a bit on the pricey side, but honestly I’d recommend it and keep buying it anyway.

I needed to remove some color on my hair that lifted during my last salon session. Rather than bother my stylist about the unexpected color on my blonding, I used this to lift the darker dye out. It worked well. The small bottle is the size of one of those travel toiletries, but it is very powerful stuff and on my shoulder length hair, I only need a quarter-sized dollop to take care of things.
This will also remove shampoo, hard water and conditioner and product deposits so it’s handy for occasional use.

If you’re on the fence about this product – try it. I bought because I had weeks (months?) worth of buildup in my hair and nothing could help. I had tried multiple other clarifying shampoos including Oaui. This one instantly made my hair feel clean and soft and shiny after the first rinse. This shampoo actually saved my hair (and sanity) and I highly recommend to purchase if you struggle with buildup.

LOVE LOVE LOVE!! Definitely a bit on the pricey side but a little goes a long long way and even using it once a week (sometimes twice, I use it after I bleach my hair as well; thorough clean without further stripping bleached hair) it lasts a long time. Bought my first tube in early may (now early August) and still havent ordered the second, but going to have to order new one in the next few washes, getting low and dont want to run out (even though I do have other clarifying shampoo ive drank the kool-aid; im converted!).

If you have oily hair and an oily scalp and/or especially if you use conditioning products containing silicones or other occlusive ingredients, then this product is for YOU. If you have dry hair and a dry scalp and/or very sensitive skin prone to irritation (although my skin is relatively sensitive, it doesn’t bother me personally) and/or do not use products containing silicones then this shampoo might not be what you are looking for.
Review:
This shampoo has been very effective at preventing any buildup of oil and product on my very porous hair and oily scalp! It makes my hair feel very clean and soft without stripping it so much that it feels weak and squeaks on my fingers. The scent is a very mild acidic/citrus that I find very pleasant! The shampoo contains Alpha-Hydroxy Acid which is a great gentle chemical exfoliant popular in skincare that will leave your scalp feeling fresh and de-congested. The slightly acidic pH is also beneficial for your skin barrier and hair cuticle as these structures are naturally acidic. I am prone to acne on my scalp and this does a good job of preventing it.
Usage Tips:
Keep in mind that this shampoo is NOT intended to replace your regular shampoo, as it is still much too harsh to use every wash; only use this shampoo when your hair is feeling congested and heavy or once a week. A little goes a long way! Professional products like this tend to be pricier than drugstore not only because of higher quality ingredients, but they are typically more concentrated and not diluted with as much water; a nickel- to quarter-sized amount is plenty for me. Focus on massaging and working this product primarily into your scalp, as your mids and ends collect less buildup and oil and this will be a bit too harsh for them. Do not worry if the product does not foam aggressively, this means it is working! Rinse and wash gently a second time with a small amount of your regular shampoo before conditioning as normal.
