I bought this hair styler a few months ago and wanted to work with it before I left a review. After working with the styler the things I love about it, are how quickly it dries my hair without overheating my head! Honestly, I used to be in a full sweat by the time my hair was dry and am glad those days are behind me! I like the large brush for creating volume and smoothness in my hair. I don’t use the curling iron, but did try them for review’s sake and they seem to be adequate. The big negative, in my opinion, is that the cord is not on a swivel and is not long enough, so rolling hair with the attachments gets the cord tangled up and as it tangles up, it gets shorter, making it necessary to stop styling and allowing the cord to untangle. It comes with an attachment to use like a hot comb for smoothing hair, but I don’t find that attachment very helpful, I would love a flat iron attachment as I still have to get my flat iron out to hit a few places. Overall, I think it’s a good product. Much more affordable than the big competitors and I’m pleased with how shiny it makes my hair. Since I haven’t used the Shark or Dyson, I can’t compare it to them, but compared to a traditional hair dryer and styling brush, this unit wins hands down!

I own the “real thing” but wanted something similar for my second bathroom. I didn’t want to pay $650 for it so I looked for less expensive options. After trying a few (and returning), I found this one and it did not disappoint! It came beautifully packaged and included a storage case as well. It did a great job on my hair. It looks just like it does when I use the expensive version. Aside from just getting used to a new tool, the whole thing is really easy to use. The attachments click in easily, stay put and work very well. The auto wrap curler attachments work perfectly to create smooth curls which last. This is a great relatively inexpensive alternative. I bought mine when there was a coupon and it was under $100 but even at $100, it is a steal.

This product could have been the one for me since it is been my 3rd one i am trying. Unfortunately. It is being returned. It does not have a swivel 360 cord, as i was drying my and round brushing it -the cord just kept twisting -it just isn’t functional which is sad because the drying and the attachments were great. Any hair tool has to have a cord that turns and flows with the movement.

Have been using it frequently for about 5 months now. My ONLY gripe is that the cord doesn’t swivel. I use the round brush most often, which requires turning the handle. The cord gets horribly twisted after one session. Even my 1990’s curling irons have this feature…
I don’t own and have never tried the Dyson version of this thing, so I can’t compare directly, but this works wonders on my hair. I love the interchangeable aspect. I am much more likely to curl my hair since I don’t really have to get out another tool. I don’t really get the point of the flat brush, but I’m a curly/frizzy girl. Maybe it works great for straight haired folks.

I have been using this for a few months and absolutely love it and quite impressed compared to other more expensive ones. It took me a little time to learn how to change the two curling cylinders and holding it at the correct angle to get my hair to wrap but once I did….love it! So easy to use and the curl last the next day! It adds a lot of volume to my hair and I get compliments whenever I use this. The greatest benefit is not having to worry that it is going to burn my scalp or fingers because it is a blow dryer!!! Great product and really worth the money! No more curling irons/wands for me. This also keeps my hair a lot healthier than curling irons.

I was excited to get this product after seeing positive reviews online. I’ve tried using it a few times now and have decided to give up and return everything. None of the attachment lock in place, so you have to hold them in position while trying to operate the wand. They fall out of the base constantly and wobble the whole time you’re trying to work. My hair normally holds curl really well, but all of the my curls with this device have gone limp or left my hair flat. I’m really disappointed.

UPDATE APRIL 2024–
The company reached out and let me know they received my feedback and wanted to resolve the issue. they sent me a replacement device and it looks like they’ve really made some meaningful changes based on feedback. The new device locks the attachments in place easily and it feels secure. This made a world of difference in being able to style my hair. I now have volume and body that lasts all day. It’s so easy to use now. I love this tool!

UPDATE: After reaching out to Brightup’s customer service directly, I received prompt outreach and after describing the issue with the styler and sending a video- Brightup shipped me a replacement device at no cost. My replacement device has had no issues as of yet. Brightup was also willing to ensure my satisfaction as a customer. 5-star customer service!!!!
I enjoyed using the bright up when I first received it – had solid curls, quick drying time, and was easy to use. However, after using about 3x per week for the last couple months – the product has stopped working. It overheats and shuts off within a couple minutes of use.
Extremely disappointed as even though this is a great dupe- would not have expected the product to stop working so soon.

I love how easy this is to use and switch out accessories. It heats up fast and the tools are of good quality. My hair always looks good when I use this I love that I don’t need to buy all of these tools separately. After over a year having this I wish they had more attachments to buy separately, like a hot comb and barrel curler with a clip, or even a heated brush. Overall I love how this makes my hair look and feel it’s super portable as well.
