I’ve been getting higher end hair products for a few years now, so I thought I’d give this Moroccanoil Holiday Volume Hair Set a try since it’s for fine hair–mine is also curly-wavy. The set contains shampoo, conditioner, leave-in oil treatment, and volumizing mist, plus a bonus cosmetic bag. The shampoo and conditioner work very well in terms of leaving my hair soft and manageable and the scent is amazing. It doesn’t leave me with as much curl as my curly hair shampoo, however. The oil treatment worked surprisingly well. I’ve had argan oil products that were too heavy, but this gave a nice shine and tamed the frizz. I’d rate it the 2nd best oil I’ve run across. The volumizer spray was just okay–I don’t feel like it gave my hair more volume and it left a sort of residue. Other than oil, I’ve never found an after shampoo product I’ve liked, so it might just be my hair. Given what the individual components go for, the current price of $66.50 for the 4 products and bag is an excellent value.

I have used Moroccanoil products in the past, but completely forgot how strongly scented they are. They are borderline too much for me. I love the oil, it was the first product from them I’ve ever tried and it’s really lightweight, but adds shine and softness to my coarse, curly hair. I’m so far mostly enjoying the shampoo and conditioner as well, for the same reason. It’s not the most hydrating shampoo and conditioner I’ve used, but it’s nice. Plus, my hair is super dry and very few things hydrate it well. I believe for most people this would be a very nicely hydrating shampoo and conditioner. I can’t say I like the volumizing spray, though. It makes my hair sticky. I feel like this is a very nice gift set for someone who needs a special treat.

I always see good reviews on this brand and have wanted to try it, however, the price deterred me for quite a while. I’m not someone that likes to return things, that’s why I was hesitant to try them. I am so glad I have this opportunity to finally try the Moroccanoil line. I got the volumizing gift set since I have fine hair. I’ve tried many different products for fine, Finn here. Everything from discount stores to luxury stores and salons. To be honest I have found some products that I do like, and lo and behold this line has made it onto the list. The shampoo and conditioner immediately made my hair look fuller, without the frizz that other products call volume. There is a scent to these products, so those with a fragrance sensitivity be aware. I find it pleasant and warm. This set comes in a beautiful bag and looks like a very substantial gift (it’s larger than it looks). It’s also a better value than buying the products individually. Now I’ve realized for myself that the hype is real on this brand. Even though it’s on the pricier side, at least I feel better that they actually do what they say.

This Moroccanoil Holiday set comes with four product from the Moroccanoil hair Volume line and includes a make-up bag. The gift set was as was expecting based on the product description. The size of the products included were as expected based on the product description which I find to be a good size as there is enough product for me to be able to use them a few times. The set also comes with a nice variety if you are wanting to try out these products without having to buy them all individually. The products included are a shampoo, conditioner, volumizing spray and a an oil infused treatment. Each of the items are clearly labeled with the brand name, what the product is, instructions for use and other details. All of the products have a pleasant smell and have the distinct smell that I find Moroccanoil oil products to typically have. The shampoo and condition both come in squeeze bottles that are easy to get the product out of. I find these products leave my hair feeling clean, moisturized and shiny but does not really give me any added volume as I was expecting with these being a volumizing products. (For reference, I have natural waist length hair that is medium in thickness and color treated.) The volumizing mist comes in a pump spray bottle that is easy to apply to hair by pumping the sprayer on the bottler. I have used this spray 2 times now and I am on the fence with it. When used it give my hair a little bit of extra volume when style but I find it quickly falls flat however the spray leave my hair looking shiny and healthy so I like that benefit of it. The oil infused treatment comes in a small bottle and is probably my favorite product in the set as my hair tends to get super dry and this treatment leaves is looking hydrated and healthy after used. The makeup / travel bag included I would consider to be a medium to large size pouch shape that is big enough to fit all of the product in it, has a zip closure and is very nice quality for a makeup bag. The exterior of the bag is faux leather material that is a cream color and has the Moroccanoil logo embossed on it in the front and the interior is a smooth material with a bit of shine that has the logo on it. Also to note, the bag is one pouch that is not divided into any sections or compartments however I love that all of the products fit nicely in the bag also making this a great travel set and easy to take on the go. Overall this is Holiday set from the Moroccanoil has a good variety of products that although do not give me the extra volume I was hoping for leave my hair feeling healthy and looking shiny, I love the moisture treatment for once in a while use when hair is extra dry and the make-up is a nice little extra and this set would make a great purchase for anyone wanting to give these product a try themselves, is a nice little gift set and also is a convenient set for travel or to take on the go.

I love this line and have been using these products for years now. They smell amazing! The spray was a new addition I got to try and enjoyed it. It pairs well with the rest of the set. The oil will still be my favorite for frizzy hair. It also refreshes my curls a bit.
The bag is super cute and convenient for taking these on trips. It’s thick and seems durable. The whole set would make a perfect gift for the holidays.
