This is by far one of the worst things I have done to my hair. Literally brought me to tears. After using, I noticed my hair smelled weirdly burnt. I couldn’t stand the smell so I washed my hair, only to make it worse. This tool made my hair smell so awful. I use other tools on the same heat setting and have never ever experienced this. I returned it to say the least. It took SEVERAL washes/days, baking soda, leave in masks, leave in conditioners to get my hair back to normal. Horrible horrible product.

4.30.22~ First time I needed to use a glove with a curling iron.
Wish I used it before the scar was forming on my thumb but maybe helps you.
Was not prepared for how heavy, or bulky, this tri-barreled iron is.
Not sure if the results are worth the effort but here’s what I learned~
* You must hold iron parallel to ends. If you angle, hair gets ripped out by hinge
* For a looser wave, once you clamp, you must release & clamp again
* If you want a tight, hair- braided kind of wave, do not release clamp
* Weight is the equivalent of (3) 2″ ceramic barrel curlers.
If you don’t think you can get through 3 layers of hair safely, including the back, Pass
* Longest lasting results of several wavers I’ve tried. Relaxes but goes all day
* Real Pro Ceramic so start at lower heat. (My 2B hair did best at 390)
* Works well on shorter hair & doesn’t leave a root crimp
* Works quickly. Max hold per clamp is maybe 5-10 seconds
* Resting to heat up is a little challenging.
While the tips are cool and there is a stand, the heat is still very close to surface.
Like this for the results but after many uses & tries, it’s just too awkward & clunky.
If you’re a Pro, or using ‘Mermade Hair’ on someone, Sure. It’s a 2 handed device.
If it’s just you, at this almost $100 price point, there’s easier options.

Absolutely love it! It is heavier and a bit difficult to use with hand (especially if you have small hands) but so worth it! I can do my whole head in under 20 minutes. I have long, thicker, slightly wavy hair so this is perfect for me. I have friends with straight hair that say this style holds well for them all day as well.

Ok so this is definitely a bad item for fine hair. I have fine hair but also a lot of hair. So I have to go in the max of heat for close to the max and I tried and tried and it just wouldn’t work for my hair. If anything it would make a weird wave or make my hair just straight.
