I rarely write reviews but I believe this product deserves one. I gave it 5 stars as this is NOT the best keratin treatment you are going to get (as I got my first one in Koreatown 2 years ago – for $350)… but it’s the best one you can get for $85. Two years ago, a new stylist who cut my hair recommended the keratin treatment as my naturally straight hair had gotten frizzy and brittle from my henna treatments at home. I loved my hair after that keratin treatment but I can’t afford to spend $350 every 3 months… so I tried this product.
It’s been a year since I bought one tube of this product. I was able to get 3 treatments from it. The pictures above were from my treatment today.
IMPORTANT: Use a Clarifying Shampoo (a recommended purchase with the product) BEFORE applying the keratin treatment. This cleans and opens up the hair cuticles for the keratin.
I followed the directions for applying it, rinsing it off and blow drying my hair. Then I went to a salon to have it flat ironed. I believe spending $30 to $40 for a flat iron styling at a salon is important as the heat seals the keratin into the hair strands so that the smoothing effects last longer.
So that is my suggestion – Get professional flat iron styling after using the product. That $40 is worth it to get the most from the product. You are already saving $300.
Btw, after the keratin treatment, I use natural henna to dye over the new grey hairs. I do this every 2 months. I don’t use any chemical treatments on my hair anymore.

This sat in my cart for 4 days before I finally placed the order.
My hair is all natural grey and super frizzy, despite my best efforts. I’ve spent a fortune on products in the past 3 years, promising to moisturize and tame the frizz. Nothing has worked. I’ve been thinking about trying a keratin treatment but the process just seemed so harsh on my fragile grey hair. After reading the instructions for this product I felt like it wouldn’t be as terrible as what I’ve read about traditional salon treatments. Like I said, it sat in my cart for 4 days while I thought about the money I wasted if this product ended up being a waste of money like everything else I’ve tried.
So here’s the scoop: Delivery arrived on Saturday. I washed my hair twice with clarifying shampoo and did not follow up with any conditioner (that was hard for me). I blow dried my hair just until it was damp, applied the product, and let it sit for 40 minutes (the insert that comes with the product will tell you how long to leave it). I rinsed the product out, blow dried my hair as straight as I could and set the flat iron to 450 degrees (yikes-grey hair doesn’t like that much heat). I sectioned my hair into 4 parts and ironed my hair until it was completely straight. That was it. My hair was soft and flowy.
Sunday morning – I was curious to see how it would look after sleeping on it….it was still straight, soft and flowy so all I did was brush it and head out to run errands.
Monday – still straight so I brushed it and headed out for the day, but it was starting to feel limp so it was time to wash it. Monday night I washed, conditioned and added my usual leave in conditioner. I tried letting it air dry. It was OK, but I wouldn’t go out of the house with it.
Tuesday – I got my hair damp and styled it with my styling brush. It looks good and actually has a nice curl to it without getting frizzy on me. It’s still a bit fly-away so I probably still need to add a little serum, but I’m OK with that.
If any of you are fighting with the texture of your grey hair, give this a try. Bonus – since my hair is only shoulder length, I’ll probably get 2 treatments out of this 1 tube.

Ruined my base color and highlights, changed my hair to orange-ish. I had to use blue shampoo this morning which toned it down a bit, but still ruined. I’m trying to get this out of my hair with a clarifying shampoo, because this has toxic ingredients.
In addition, my hair smells and feels like something is on it. It did not blow dry nicely as it normally does. I followed instructions exactly.
**Look up the ingredients!!! They can be harmful. I have a sore throughly this morning after using this last night. The ingredients were not disclosed on the Amazon description.
I have purchased this product and used it about a year ago and it worked great. When I open the package, I noticed that there were new instructions, and they obviously change the formula…for the worse.
DO NOT use if you have any type of color on your hair. I’m sending this back but the cost and time of this is not welcomed.
I saw another person recently complained and review the exact outcome. Make sure you look at the dates on the review.
Washing my hair now, several times, with a clarifying shampoo to get this out of my hair!!!!

This product works wonders for the textured and course hair ladies looking for a smooth and silky finish. I use this on all my natural hair clients who want a relaxer look but not the damage and still want volume in their hair. I do luxury extensions and I use this on all clients before their installs .

The good: I have super thick, course, frizzy hair. I have greys through out as well as a lot of highlights I’m growing out. I was afraid to try this based on the reviews but I finally went for it and it’s been a game changer! I washed my hair with a clarifying shampoo and left the treatment on for 40min and followed the instructions for my hair type. After blow dry and flat iron my hair looked super shiny and smooth. I added some hair serum to finish and that made a big difference in making my hair softer. I went out in the summer humidity and my hair didn’t budge!!! I’ve washed it since and it’s still so shiny, smooth and soft I can’t stop touching it.
The cons: I believe the treatment did lighten my hair a little. I was prepared for this as it happened to me with salon keratin treatments as well. There is also a lingering smell that reminds me of pesticide. I don’t notice it as I move about my day. It does really kick up when I’m washing and drying my hair. I also have to braid back my hair when I’m sleeping or else I can smell it.
