I’m a once-a-week wash and dry kind of person with very low maintenance hair. Before this product, I was using a $15 Sunbeam hairdryer from a big box store that has lasted me 10+ years, but I decided it was time for an upgrade since my previous hairdryer only did hot and hotter.
First of all, this product is lovely. It’s got a heavy kind of feeling (good quality!), a nice box, and the experience of unboxing and using this the first time was fun. The attachments are magnetic, which again seems to be a sign of thoughtful design and wanting to impart a feeling of luxury. I also like that the buttons are sleek and electronic, again elevating the build quality and feel.
In terms of function, there’s 3 air pressure modes (off, low, and high) which are on a switch. The off takes a couple seconds to actually work, so don’t be alarmed the first time you use it. In addition, there are 5 heat settings (cool, scalp, comfortable, quick dry (hot), and alternate (hot and cold). These are toggled by a button that cycles through all of them in order, and there is a coloured indicator light to tell you which cycle it is in in (along with the colour legend printed on the dryer).
When using the dryer for the first time, I mainly used the comfortable setting. It was a nice way to dry pretty quickly without burning my scalp. I did try the quick-dry for a bit, and it was quite a bit hotter, which makes sense given it’s meant to dry your hair quickly. While there is a lot of marketing about ‘negative ions’, I have no idea what this means, and honestly didn’t notice a difference in the quality of my hair post-dry. It was dry, and it was done relatively quickly, but there was no difference in how my hair felt when it was dry (e.g. softer).
Overall, I love how customizable this dryer is, and that it’s small and seems expensive. As someone who will be using it less than once a week, I enjoy that I have something nice to use for my hair and that I can also use this for low heat drying like my kids nails or their hair before bed. Great and fun product!

This is very Light weight and it works very well! It’s not overly loud and it drys my hair well. It’s big enough to do the job drying my thick hair but small enough for travel. Great product!

$50 after discount is not bad; however…
it has 4 temperature setting–cold, warm, hot and too hot. Hottest setting is 100 degree celcius (212 F), so you need to be really careful not to burn your hand/fingers. The blow has 2 speed — high and too high. I can use it to blow leaves (not kidding).
Air nozzle attaches by magnet, which is really nice, but it does not provide a good concentration of air mass. it seems the the drum is too short to blow a good volume of air.

Most people know Dyson as the golden standard for hair drying and they are very impressive hair dryers. But they’re also $580 which is a very hefty cost. I couldn’t justify it for myself so I bought a Shark hyperair hair dryer which was similar in design but it was almost 1/3rd the cost.
This feels like another budget alternative at around 1/3rd the cost of my Shark Hairdryer but functionally it is almost identical.
Pros:
– Gets quite hot on max heat setting
– Build quality feels excellent. Was expecting a cheap looking hair dryer but it wasn’t
– Comes with a hook handle so you can hang it for storage
– Strong airflow
– Comes with 2 attachments (Concentrator and Diffuser)
– Attachments are magnetic!
– Lightweight. Ligher than my shark hair dryer
– Fairly small. Comes with a carrying pouch so you can travel with it easily
– The packaging is excellent. Great design for gifting
Cons:
– The air button is hard to use. The settings are very close together and there’s no good “click” you can feel when you change between off, air 1, and air 2. Changing between air 1 and 2 is too hard without a good mechanical feedback
– The cold and heat settings is all in 1 button. You basically cycle between all the heats. There is no “cold” button that is common in many hair dryers. You have to cycle it to cold, then back to your preferred heat setting. Fairly annoying if you change heat a lot
– This doesn’t appear to have a fine mesh dust filter. Makes me concern about dust blockage overtime. The instructions does say there is a filter that needs to be clean but I don’t really see one?
The max heat and air strength is about level 80% of the shark hyperair. It doesn’t go as high or as powerful as my Shark hairdryers max settings but I never use them anyways. Besides the dust filter and the poor button usage, I think this is a great choice for a good hair dryer that is similar to $200+ hair dryers without breaking the bank. I would have bought this over my Shark if I had tested this first, unexpectedly surprised at the quality of this hair dryer.

After using traditional, “old school” hair dryers for years, it’s hard to know where to begin when describing this new generation dryer that leaves all of our previous ones in the dust.
It’s quiet, it’s powerful, it’s light, and it’s small. With a 1500 watt brushless motor that creates a windspeed of nineteen metres per second (that’s 68 kilometres per hour or 42 mph), this unit will have your hair dry in no time. There are actually two wind speeds and five different temperature settings. Speed is controlled by a sliding switch directly underneath the dryer’s head; the button directly below that changes color as you click through the temperature choices. My wife claims that the controls are “perfectly located”! The most recent setting is conveniently remembered by the dryer. The unit comes with two attachments which join to the dryer using a nice magnetic coupler; there’s a nozzle designed for straight hair styling and a diffuser designed for curly/wavy hair styling. As an added convenience, the magnetic coupler allows for easy rotation of the attachments so you can direct the airflow exactly where you want it. The unit will shut off automatically if it starts to overheat; there is also a built in fuse for added safety protection on the dryer’s electrical cord. With a length of roughly six feet, the unit’s heavy duty cord is long enough to accommodate drying your hair while standing up.
What makes this dryer exceptional, however, is the negative ion technology that it features. Claiming to emit 100 million negative ions (how would you count that?), the unit is designed to reduce static, improve smoothness and shine, reduce hair breakage, and improve your hair’s appearance. I really can’t address all those claims but I will say that my wife’s hair has never looked better! There’s far less frizziness, more shine, and a noticeable improvement in appearance! She loves it!
Overall, we couldn’t find a single negative to complain about. This amazing dryer features advanced “next generation” technology comparable to that found in many big brand name dryers that sell for much, much more! The unit comes with a lovely storage bag and is beautifully packaged; it would make an ideal gift! Highly recommended!

I have chin-length curly hair and here are my takeaways after using this hair dryer for a few week:
Pros:
-lightweight
-reaches temperature quickly and holds it well
Cons:
-very small diffuser, diameter and depth-wise. It cannot hold much of my hair even though it is rather short.
-the controls are placed in a very inconvenient way and are very sensitive to touch. I keep hitting them involuntarily and changing the temperature.
-the on-off controls stopped responding after a few uses: to turn off the dryer, I have to unplug it or hit the reset button on the plug-in end of the wire.

I am in love with this hairdryer! It has a couple minor design flaws but wow….it’s the best one I have ever used!
It dries my hair very quickly, and with less frizz overall. It does an amazing job on a blowout look with the included flat nozzle. I love that the diffuser and flat nozzle attach with a magnet on the front! It holds so much better than the ones I have used in the past that click in, and end up falling off multiple times while I am drying my hair. The magnet is strong and it just sticks there! The heat settings are nice, a button that you press to rotate through coloured options for heat setting, I like the hot/cold combo when doing a blowout, it really helps set the style in with ease. It was around $69 at the time I ordered it, which seems expensive for a blowdryer but honestly it is well worth it as you are getting professional quality here without that hefty price tag. It also comes with its own beautiful storage bag which makes me super happy!! It is perfectly giftable in a lovely sealed, professional looking box.
I have very long hair down to my hips and it can get tangled easily while drying, that brings me to my first flaw….the length of the dryer. While it is lovely and short to pack in a suitcase, it does get a little bit lost in my hair when I flip my head upside down to dry. However, my hair doesn’t get caught in this one like it has in others before so to me it is not a deal breaker in this product.
The second flaw is that where the button is placed for the heat settings I sometimes accidentally push it while I am drying and it changes the heat on me and I have to cycle through again. Not really a big deal to me but it might be to you.
Overall I am so pleased with this hair dryer and I love using it! This is a great gift for the ladies in your life!
