First, the brush I received is not 100% boar bristle. It is a mixture of Nylon and bristle. I deducted 2 stars for the false advertising.
Apart from the mixed bristle issue, this is a great brush. Yes it is small, which is perfect for travel. The handle is small, but not uncomfortable. The wood is beautiful. I was worried that the brush would be too soft for travel, but since it is a mixed bristle, it should be OK.
If this had been advertised as the mixed bristle brush that it is, I would have given it a 5 star review.

This is a very sturdily made boar bristle brush! The bristles are a lot longer than some of the other brushes I own and I appreciate that! The Olive wood is very dense and pretty as well!

We have been looking for a stiff boar bristle brush to use on our Great Pyrenees, Badger Blue. Everything we have tried was too soft to get through his double coat. This little brush is a work horse! Not only is it the perfect size for the humans to hold, it does the job without turning him into a static monster. It’s compact size makes it easy to take along. It is also beautiful to look at, feels great to hold & is wonderfully crafted. Not one bristle has dropped out after many grooming sessions of our 120 lb. house pony – that’s a lot of territory to cover! First of all I could of sworn that is was for women hair too, but this brush is small.. that’s why I took away half a star. Another reason why I took half a star is that bristles are bend, and they are kinda soft for my liking.. Not bad if you have short hair and thin hair ..

This is a cute brush. I’ve been on a long search for the perfect brushes and this is one of my favorites. It’s about 7inches, the perfect size for my small hands and it feels really good and firm on the scalp. Not sure if it’s mixed with nylon bristles but distributes oils through my hair very well. Made sturdy, I think it will last for a long time.

i love this brush. I have very long thick hair and have always used the common large paddle brushes. Then one day I bought a very small boards head brush and noticed it made my hair extremely soft. I recommend getting this large brush I am reviewing about in addition to a small one. The large one isn’t as gentle on your hair, so I brush with the large one first then finish with the smaller one. Both brushes reduced breakage and improve the strength and smoothness of my hair. I have very thick hair, so if you have thinner hair or brittle hair just get a small brush. I will only buy boards hair brushed for the rest of my life; they are truly life changing!!!!!!!! I love it!
