I am familiar with Ethica’s shampoo and conditioner, so I was excited to try this product.
The same vendor has a 2oz container posted for under $40 USD so you may want to start with that option if you’re not ready to commit to a 2-pack for $70 USD. (I received the item for free, in exchange for a fair review.) Aside from that price observation, the product is easy to use and comes from Vancouver, British Columbia.
Just shake and spray. The formula is not greasy. However, one of the bottles was almost empty upon arrival. I like a lot of the ingredients, especially the niacinamide, adenosine, biotin, calcium pantothenate (or pantothenic acid, resveratrol, ginseng, and retinol. However, alcohol is the second ingredient, so the product will dry out your scalp.

The extension retention comes with 2 bottles. It is supposed to strengthen hair from root to tip and reduce breakage. The direction printed on the box suggests to spray 7 pumps twice daily by touching sprayer tip to the scalp. The sprayer is well designed so it can spray in small area and deep inside hair so it can reach scalp. It also comes with a cap to prevent accidently press it. I only applied once a day and did apply more because I barely feel it with 1 spray. So far I could not see any different after applying few weeks. But I like the fresh feeling on scalp and enjoy the mild scent.

I have been using this ethica spray for the last three days and really like it. It has a large size sprayer nozzle which I really like because it covers a larger area on my scalp. It hasn’t changed my hair or scalp in anyway good or bad. It doesn’t dry and leave flakes which is a great thing because most hair products do leave either a residue or flakes. Hopefully this will help me because I am experiencing a lot of breakage and hair loss. I will update if I notice any improvements or changes of any kind. I am continuing to use this and recommend giving this a try if you have extensions. I hope you find my review helpful.

Hair Extension Retention by Ethica is amazing for my remy hair I have in. I spray It every day when I feel my hairs a bit dry and it gives my hair a moisture and feeling of silky feeling.
This product is a must have if you have hair extensions, it mist’s on very lightly and does not leave an oily look. When you spray it, it mist’s on your hair, but does not make your hair wet, just adds shine and leaves your hair feeling silky and more healthy looking.
I don’t use this when my hairs wet, but only when my hair is dry, it works best for me not as a leave in, but as a hair refresher, and it does exactly that.
Also this is really good if you have frizz or a tangle, it really helps with retain your original hair softness and helps with keeping frizz away and detangling.
I’ve been searching for this product now in a bigger bottle so it will last longer, cause these two little bottles go by so fast and even though it is worth the value because it works so well for my hair extensions. The two bottles so far have lasted me about a month and using it sparingly I probably have another couple weeks left.
I highly recommend this extension retention, it is on the pricey side, but it works so amazing on your hair, I haven’t been able to find anything else like it! I love this product for hair extensions, works wonders for keeping your extensions looking and feeling silky.

I use this product for thinning hair around my hairline and middle part in front of my head. It’s seems to be helping. It also adds body to my hair in front bangs. Very light fragrance and not oily or heavy. Overall, I love this product I see results in my frontal hair line and gives me great volume hides my hair loss.

This spray has a nice fresh scent which is pleasant but not overpowering. What I love is how well the spray nozzle works as well as the thin consistency of the spray- It gives a decent mist that reaches your scalp and can be rubbed in easily, but it doesn’t leave my hair feeling greasy at all. My hair looks fine once it dries, with no residue.
As to the effectiveness, I know it’s bound to take months to start even seeing results. I’ve used this for 3 weeks so far, about once a day minimum, sometimes twice if I can manage it. The first bottle is maybe 2/3rds gone, so I can see both bottles lasting a good 2 1/2 months with consistent use, longer if you use it less frequently. For reference I don’t use it on all of my hair, just the front half of my scalp.
I’ll try to remember to update growth after both bottles are finished!

It’s difficult to review something like this so quickly because I would imagine it takes awhile to work. That being said, it does help moisturize my scalp and detangle. I would imagine the detangling alone would help with breakage, so I can’t say that it helps hair grow/be stronger, but that’s something itself. As others have said, the sprayer is excellent–it goes right through your hair and onto your scalp, and sprays regardless of angle. There’s no noticeable scent. It hasn’t hurt my hair, so I plan to continue using both bottles and reassessing after 2 months. If I think it’s working to help regrow hair, I’ll update this review (and order more). Fwiw, I have long-Covid and it caused me to lose a LOT of hair, so I’m hoping this will help with regrowth (or at least to maintain my current hair).
