Nice little compact clipper, but died on me after 3 or 4 uses.
Bought another one from a other source and seems to be ok so far. Best feature is that because the blade is small “T”, its super easy to go around ears and even inside ears. Like it a lot.

Works great and exactly what I needed. Better price than the cosmetology stores!

I bought this clipper (Ace) in March 2024 and it broke (the 1/16 guide ) within two weeks. I had previously owned a Oster clipper set that lasted 30 years (I’m serious) without anything breaking. That’s a decrease in quality of 29 11/12 years.

However, here are my thoughts of two weeks of operation:

    Here is what I liked:
    – Powerful corded clippers
    – Easy to hold/ small size
    – Great for facial hair/ beard

    Here’s what sucked:
    – Plastic guides are poor quality (envision the cheapest comb you ever bought)
    – Customer Service could not replace guides because they were Out of Stock – therefor, this also goes in the ‘suck’ category.
    – Could not return without box.
NOTE: I only keep the box for items if a) I am not 100% sure I’ll like it; b) I have little faith that the item will make it past the 30 return period

This is not my first pair. I like the light weight handling it gives.

I bought this to replace my Wahl hair clippers that lasted me a good 4 years. This clipper stopped working after the 2nd use so that’s disappointing. It also snags hair very often, pulling hair out and leaving behind a bloody mess.

I bought this to replace a cheap rechargeable that you can’t change out the battery when it dies in a year. I was willing to pay more for something with a cord. I use this to trim the goatee in the summer and beard when winter arrives, which works great for this. It’s sharp, fast, and cuts smoothly. Highly recommend. It is well constructed, and I see this lasting a long time.

With a blade only 1 1/4″ wide, this whole clipper-finisher is small, which is good because it can fit into nooks and crannies around my nose and chin. It’s also awesome because it comes with a decent set of guards, including the #2 I particularly need for my beard. It’s lightweight and reasonably quiet, though the sound it does make is a little whiny, not the nice hum of a larger heavier unit. Oster Pro is a good brand, and for what it is, I’d give it five stars. However I’m a tough customer and I’m docking it 1 star because I don’t see any replacement guards. If I can get spare guards I’ll raise my rating to 5 stars. Isn’t it ironic – there are pro haircutters who don’t even need the guards and probably ditch them.

You might be surprised, pleasantly or not, that it’s super light, it weighs like 4 ounces in your hand, not counting the cord. That’s nothing like the nearly one pound that my much older Oster t-blade model. So if super-light feels super-cheap to you, don’t. But if you appreciate the light weight, for the money I say this one is a winner and a reasonable value.
